So, is everyone ready? Are you superstitious? Are you staying home to avoid anything?

It's raining here, so in true Vegas fashion, our outdoor p.e. was cancelled. We are hanging at home and doing nothing.

Okay, I'm planning for my speed scrap tonight!

Honestly, we've been so busy lately, I'm looking forward to a weekend of home just chilling out. Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

Our oldest granddaughter is getting married today. She thinks it's cool to get married on a Friday the 13th. It was going to just be her parents, brothers, and the clergyperson in a little park near them. But it's been raining all day so I'm thinking they will move it indoors somewhere...maybe her parents' house? Nope. We weren't invited. :'( They're planning a "reception" barbecue this summer. I'm not holding my breath.

But no...we are not superstitious.

Man what a Friday the 13th here in Eastern WA. Governor just ordered all schools closed until APRIL 24th! (!!) and it's supposed to snow 3-5 inches tonight.

At least I made a grocery trip yesterday & this am and have a lovely To Be Read pile of books. I think we're going to have some crazy days ahead....

I’m just chilling out at home trying to get better (am feeling a lot better than I did 2 days ago). Only other thing I have on my must do list is a job application that’s due by 10am Monday (only cause I want it in their email inbox by 8am their time) so I’ll do the research for it today and the actual application tomorrow since I tend to focus better in the afternoon/evening with no distractions which is what I get every Sunday from 3pm ish.

@bestcee Will your speed scrap be in the Chat room? I haven't been able to log in the past 3 times, Idk why? I have enjoyed the 3 I did get into!

Lol I forgot it was Friday 13th. But this has been our last 30 minutes! Lol

Our library hasn't closed, but I still get Utah notices. They pointed out that the digital library is still open! I may go request some of my TBR books.

I love that you know your best work time! Good for you for planning that way!
I can try to force myself all day long, but once I put munchkin to bed, I can focus like mad on school!

I’ve always been more of a night owl anyway and I often joke unles I’m being paid or going away I don’t do mornings willingly. Reason I work in the afternoon on Sundays is my mum works night shift, the other 4 days she finishes much earlier so if I don’t start til 6pm which is usual for me, I’m more than likely going to get interrupted towards the end when she gets home

It's been a crazy day here! We let students out 3 hours early so that teachers could compile packets for them in case we were to get shut down and by the end of the day, we were. Packets are being mailed home because doing online is just not an option. We have too many kids that do not have internet access. The way those copiers were running today was wild, you could feel the heat coming off them lol. I had to do some running around after work to take my grandson to meet his other grandparents and to check on my DIL's house. Now, I am going to relax for a bit. This weekend I plan to clean this house and start planing how I'll spend my days off.

Not superstitious. Nothing special planned. Just our normal Friday night ice cream and movie. We did have friends over for dinner. Tomorrow I'm helping prepare and serve food for after the funeral for my BIL's family whose father just died. Then my older girls will be home from Mexico tomorrow night after being gone a week...they went on a mission trip. Then maybe we'll self-quarantine just in case! They did do some kind of coronavirus check at the border.

I've just had a bad week, I dont think any of it was really Fri the 13th related but last night & early today went by so fast just trying to catch up on house stuff & it's raining (which still makes me think 'Yay'with drought & fire not so long ago) & it's feeling like go back to bed & read weather here too & I have no energy left to fight it, so I'll pop back in a few hours with a Saturday Pad Patter - thanks Courtney @bestcee

My mother did not get to attend my one and only daughter's wedding. At first no one was going to be involved and then a change in plans and just my husband and I were involved with others invited to a reception afterwards. Sadly my daughter did all the inviting so the wording was not great as some of her old school friends thought we had invited them and that it was to the actual wedding, not just the reception.

@bestcee No superstitions here... that was my mother though. At one time I used to just for fun buy a lottery ticket on a black Friday but I gave that up.

My Mum was born on Friday the 13th and she always told me that her life was full of bad luck. I don't really believe in bad luck. That being said, my long awaited Paris trip has been cancelled by travel company and what should arrive in the mail today but the final travel documents! Had a little cry. The Bay Area is going bonkers with closings - grandkids' schools closed for four weeks, most of museums closing AND grocery shelves are emptier than my refrigerator (I am notorious for getting down to almost nothing before I shop). Had to steal TP from daughter as there is none in stores. I hope to putter around in my yard this weekend, maybe plant some herbs. I refuse to lock myself in even though I am in the over 60, health condition category. I will be careful though and personal distance and wash my hands a lot! Crazy times ahead.

My mom was born on Friday the 13th too, but she felt it was her lucky day. I don’t consider it lucky, but every Friday the 13th reminds me of her, and that makes me smile.

My lucky number is actually 13! Sounds a bit strange but there has been so many things in my life that have confirmed this :beat:beat:beat
