I don't think it's a secret that nobody ever has it all together, all the time and that no one is 100% happy all the time (and if you know someone who is, then maybe they are an awesome actor!), and I often think if people were just a bit nicer to others, the world would be a nicer place and people would be genuinely happier and it can make a difference to someone's day.

I also think giving compliments to others makes me feel cheerier so it works both ways.
So I'll 'gif' anyone that pops in here and just says 'hi' a compliment - I'll remember to click 'watch this thread' this time :eyeroll - feel free to share any feel-good stories or things that specifically make you happy.

Scrapbooking obviously makes us all happy, having an event free Sunday this weekend at home to scrapbook is making me happy at the moment!

Hi Justine!
Today the weather is making me happy. It finally felt like spring today and the warmer temps and sun on my face felt all kinds of wonderful!

(he doesn't look completely sincere but it's meant that way - glad you're enjoying some spring!)

Hi Bellbird!

It is Friday tomorrow and the beginning of our week-long school spring holiday. I'm a teacher, so I couldn't be happier!!

Have a wonderful weekend :)

Christina

I smiled so much today, my jaws ache a bit. Just a great day, kind people and laughter.
Best kind of ache, I am sure you brought them much joy too! I know you make us smile and laugh here a lot!

(he's a bit creepy but i like that compliment, smart and pretty and dolphins, great compliment combo! and I have big respect for teachers! (Heading to school pickup here in a bit!) Hope you have a wonderful holiday, well earned I'm sure!)

I walked 1 1/2 miles today then walked again with my grandson. The weather is gorgeous here and it was wonderful to be outdoors. It's Friday in 45 minutes. :bk

hmm nothing terribly fantastic happened today and to be honest im still 'grieving' a bit from the news regarding employment from yesterday. Though one thing that is making me super happy is it is 15 hours and one sleep away from seeing À Ố Làng Phố for free.

Full of laughter, personality, thrills and imagination, the charming new work by French Vietnamese company Nouveau Cirque du Vietnam arrives in New Zealand having won audiences over around the world - and is set to steal the hearts of Aucklanders with its enchanting reinvention of the traditional circus act.

Làng Phố, which translates as 'village-city', depicts the rapid urbanisation of rural villages who are set in their peaceful way of life. Telling a story of Vietnamese culture in transition, the show's 15 acrobats and five musicians gracefully contrast scenes of heritage and agriculture with the restless sights and sounds of 21st century society.

Performing live a mixture of serene South Vietnamese music and buoyant contemporary hip hop, the troupe also presents a full range of circus skills. Feats of juggling, contortion and aerial work take on a spectacular new form with the aid of bamboo - the signature aesthetic of Nouveau Cirque du Vietnam - as well as through a new innovation, the woven basket. In the hands of such artful entertainers, these humble objects become characters in themselves.

Their creativity will leave you spellbound.

blessings all. Life is too much here at the moment, but it's nice to be able to pop by the lilypad for a smile even if I don't have the energy to scrap.

Spring has returned. The sun is shining. It is Friday and I hope to spend the whole weekend scrapping.

American taxes are due April 15 and I haven't started but at least I should have the money to pay them. :banana

LOve this! Totally agree! Today I woke up to sunshine, blue skies & puppy kisses!! lol! Both of my children let me sleep in a bit & the dog woke me up instead of them arguing- so I call that a win! ;) Plus, it's Friday! :D :D :D

I'm smiling because it's Friday and all of my pressing To Do list items have been crossed off.

This morning I made sure that I wrote "Thank you in advance for your help" when I used Amazon's chat service to start a return. Customer service workers get so many whiny/angry people that I figured the best thing to do was say "Thanks" even before anything's been done!

Thanks for a nice, happy thread, Justine!

I agree, the world needs nice right now!

Last week when I had to take my car into Discount to have one of my tires repaired I was expecting to pay for the service, but when the tech came in to let me know I didn't owe anything I was so very happy! I went back the next day and gave the guy who checked me in and the tech who repaired my tire a Red Bull and Snickers!

I like happy threads! Not only is it a sunny day that looks very much like spring is actually arriving, but I've lost 45 pounds since last June. That makes me very happy. :)
