Fraud Sucks

Re any on line purchase if I use it with my credit card, I scan computer first then add the card I use ONLY for internet purchases, and then after purchase I delete my card number from account and then re scan computer
You may want to check with your credit card and see if they offer virtual numbers. Mine does, so every transaction online has a different card number that will only work with that company. Adobe has one of those virtual numbers, so if someone stole their list, they wouldn't have a good card number

Fraud does suck! I’m sorry you have to deal with this but at least the banks are good about identifying fraud and taking those charges off.

yes, I was super lucky that my bank identified the issue and I wasnt out any money at all in this case as it was only an attempt

Maybe try chatting Backblaze and explain? They may be able to change the date the payment comes out for you?

I heard back from them and they attempt the charges for 21 days so I'm good with that as I'm almost certain I'll have my new card by then

This is the worst! It's happened to us, and the credit card company called us, asking our location. Turns out we were buying breakfast in NJ and air conditioners in Florida at the same time!

Both my husband and I had our debit/atm cards skimmed at the same atm. The bank caught the second & third charge and blocked my card for me. I had to file a fraud claim on the first. Two were to Onlyfans (a processing site for sex workers). A week later, my husband's card was used to charge $90 on Air India, which is weird because no flight is that little, so drinks maybe?

And the bank wonders why I like to come inside and hand things to a person...

Many years ago a cruice trip in US was bought from US with my card. I had just divorced and those $500 was all I had. My bank canceled the payment, canceled my card, the post office police got involved since the trip was bought in US. I got a new card very fast and the money back. My card was brand new and wasn't used at all so that was so strange in my view. They said the criminals had machines that just playing with numbers all the time and trying to get money from peoples card. I was so scared for a long time because somehow it is done to "you".

Finally got my card this morning, still have to activate it but boy was that a long nearly two weeks getting constant reminders that certain charges had bounced due to my card not being active.
