I totally thought about that Sunday night because all of the doctors and nurses were so young... and most of them were attractive, so I totally thought about Grey's.
Today, her nurse looked like she stepped right off the screen. Such a pretty girl.
She is doing better. She got to go home today. She has to wear this mega brace that extends from her chin down to her waistline. She has to be in it for 12 weeks. So she's not very happy about that at all. LOL. I will have to go over every other night to help her with changing the brace after she showers. Everyone at the hospital was so sad to see her go because they all fell in love with her while she was there.
She goes back in three weeks to see how things are healing, so hopefully it will all be good. My useless uncle is coming up this weekend. He tried to get out of it, but I told him he needed to come, so he can cook a couple of meals for her. LOL. It is going to be a long 12 weeks.
AND... we should get the money for the new car on Monday, and I'm making Tim work from home that day so we can hopefully go and buy it then!

Thanks for the update. I almost asked and decided to wait another day. Good to hear she is home. Oh that brace sounds so uncomfortable. Yay for new car!

Sorry but I totally lol'd throughout your story!
I totally had a great grandma like that- she drove well into her 90's & passed away just before her 101st birthday! They are hysterical at that age- they never want any help & they say the darndest things!
I'm glad she is 'ok' and that all will soon be well for you & your family!

wow, that is some story Kimberlee. she's deftly one tough cookie! glad she's on the mend ... but so sorry for how crazy your life is right now. i bet you are counting the days until you can get that new car in the driveway. hope grandma heals quickly ... but i imagine her wiggling her way out of that brace sooner than she should for some reason. i'd keep my eye on her if i were you! she seems very spry for her age!
i'm laughing at your 2nd post (update) in this thread about the young nurses/drs all looking like Grey's cast. i was at our ER this summer when my son broke his arm ... everyone looked 18. i felt so old. the ER doc was tall dark and handsome and had muscles & tats for days. the young nurses were all fawning over him it was hilarious and i totally thought of Grey's. seriously he could of been on the hottest ER dr's calendar or something!

Now I know how you feel on this one..... as I keep saying, if all the stuff happening to me is God testing me...... I should have graduated a while back with honors
having said that.... I'm always trying to look at the bigger picture and wait to see what next step would be...and sometimes, most of the time lately, I can see why it was actually a good thing that some of the stressing things happened the way they did.... and I keep praying for guidance and strength.... and have had some of my prayers more than answered in the past few days
I think I have said this many times, but, once again: one of the bigger lessons life has taught me, is that nothing is ever simple with us (as in my own family) but the overall most important fact O try keeping in mind, is that the good overpowers the bad
Hope we both (and lots more of us in the Pad's family!!!!) get a break for a relatively non eventful next couple of month at least!!!!!!! (and then there is Christmas!!!)

I just feel like life is completely insane these days. My daughter said, "You know how, when bad things happen, people always tell you God doesn't give you more than you can handle... if someone says that to me again, I'm going to punch them in the throat."
I'm totally missing the Pad peeps (and my sanity). I seriously need some scrap therapy!!!
