April kinda snuck in on a weekend this year - did anyone get fooled or get up to any hijinx?

We had time changes here for daylight savings, that confuses me enough with half the clocks, phones etc changing themselves these days... i thought about short sheeting the kids beds but it just felt like more work...

It snuck up on my too, so there weren't any pranks in our house this year. I had a friend staying at our house so we could have a scrapping weekend. So scrapping was more important than playing pranks. Lol! :) Priorities... :giggle

Thankfully no pranks here. My oldest daughter usually likes getting everyone but I think it snuck up on her too so we are safe for one more year.

I laughed at Amazon's Alexa for pets video, Google's wind video, and heard about Netflix although I didn't watch it. Other than that, nope. We didn't do any fooling around here.

NO pranks this year... I was waiting to see if the boys would get me back for the Brown "E's" last year! :giggle

I should have done the Brown E's one myself.. we didn't really do anything. My son went "Knock knock?" so I said "Who's there?" and he does "APRIL FOOLS! No one's there!!" then ran off laughing while I groaned.

I did find this photo that I wanted to do to the kids of this paper cup:

But I didn't get to it. :( Maybe next year.

I saw Google's PacMan but just assumed it was the invasion of a Pop Up. Otherwise, no pranks round here. But then again I did see Alexa for Pets and knowing my friends who are pet owners, presumed it was real. :crazy

No pranks this year, I think it's the first time hubs and I didn't try to fool each other about something. One thing that did make me laugh out loud was a youtube video by Jared Polin whom I follow and I knew as soon as I saw the blurb about it, it was an AFD joke but I had to watch it anyway LOL. He was announcing the merge of Nikon and Sony camera companies which would be called Nikony and then he proceeded to say how it it would be pronounced in various languages. I couldn't stop laughing. His subtle humor always gets me going LOL.

my son woulda loved that and used it at least a dozen times on the day- have to remember for next year;
the spider cup? hmmm - i think the payback would not have been fun, i get freaked if he leaves out his plastic spiders and snakes and every insect under the sun (why do they have to make plastic versions for kids in the dollar store anyway?! thanks for that grandparents and teachers prize boxes at school) - the plastic cockroach in his pj's drawer when i put washing away the other day was bad enough and not even 1st April!

We did catch the Netflix thing...it was funny! DS got DH with the "your back tires on the Camaro are flat". He got as far as the front porch and just turned around shaking his head. It was great because he is really hard to get!! I'm just glad it was on Saturday. I hate April Fool's Day on a school day...the kids try to pull them constantly and they are just not that good at it LOL.

so i had to google - is alexa like siri? i'm still a bit confused - thought it musta have been like hair removal cream or deoderant or something...
Alexa is the voice in Amazon's Echo. So, kinda Siri? But she lives in the speaker in my kitchen.

I told my hubby that our CPA messed up somewhere and we are supposed to get $859 more than she says . . . unfortunately, it flopped because 1) he wasn't as excited as I thought he'd be about the prospect of more of a return and 2) when I did reveal that I was joking he wasn't as upset at I thought he'd be. It is one of the things that I love about him, that he's constant and level headed . . . but sometimes I'd love to get more of a reaction out of him than the straight/level I get. LOL

I'm always so relieved when I found out it's on a day I do not work. Aprils Fools with a class full of kids/teens that think everything is funny, is not my cup of tea. So saturday was perfect for me.

We put some chocolate easter eggs in our parents shoes. So when we went out for dinner together and they put on their shoes they were like "geesj...." and that was our level of funny. Especially my sister found it hilarious. Mind, we're all 30 and up.

I totally forgot about it being April Fools until it was too late in the evening LOL!! I usually try to trick the hubby or kids..but boy did April come fast this year! I can hardly believe it's already the 5th!
