Fonts....

@littlekiwi

I have many fonts, but I almost exclusively use the typewriter font that I prefer (Traveling Typewriter) or the font Stamp for my dates on my layouts (it's retired/can't be downloaded). I will stray from that from time to time, but I stick with those because of readability (hubby complained he couldn't read a lot of the journaling on layouts that I've printed before, so I chose to eliminate that as an issue for him or any descendants who might be reading).

Yeah, I'm no help either. I do what you're not supposed to do... I just install them all so I can scroll through them and see what I feel like using at any given time. I haven't noticed a slow down from it yet, so I guess I'm good?

This is me. I currently have 417 fonts installed, plus a bunch downloaded and still zipped. I have a font addiction. Pre-computers it was an IBM type ball addiction. Those balls were pretty pricey ($25-$30 back in the 80s) and they occasionally broke ... especially if you accidentally dropped them. I miss my IBM Selectric typewriter. My Brother typewriter does have two (wheels), but I've never bothered switching them out ... I think they are both Elite, but 12 and 10 point.

I use Font Base so that I do not need to install so many as I use a lot of different fonts with my designing to create word art. So I have a huge collection of Commercial Use fonts.
I am sure Font Base works with PSE. You open up Font Base and then open up PSE. Go back to font base when you are ready to decide what font to use... find it and make it active. Leave Fontbase open - go back to PSE and the font you made active will be there to use until you close PSE.

Thank you @A-M for the recommendation....I've downloaded it and it seems much much more user friendly and quicker than AMP Font Viewer which I've been using forever it seems

@littlekiwi I just tested Fontbase with my PSE15 and it does work. Remember to the have your chosen font activated in Fontbase - the little circle before the font should be green. then do not close Fontbase - leave it open but minimized.

Since getting back into my scrapbooking I am slowly adding to my Font collection again. I have a little list of 7 fonts which are my favourites at the moment (A Little Sunshine, Another Typewriter, Autography, Hello Bunny, Lemon Tuesday, Reading, Typewriter Condensed) all from DaFont.

I have downloaded a few more but don't have them installed on my MacBook, I find I can spend way to long browsing for free fonts to use. I try not to install to many fonts so my MacBook doesn't slow down.
