My youngest niece is turning 1 this week. I am in desperate need of some gift ideas. She has two older sisters and consequently already has a HUGE wardrobe and TONS of toys. I'm trying to think of something that is either super fun OR a unique keepsake type of gift. I know you creative ladies can help out on this one! Ideas?
How about a mint set of coins from her birth year? We've done that for each of our nieces and nephews, and then dh's Brother ended up getting a set for our kids. It's a nice keepsake, and will appreciate with value as long as it is kept in the plastic package. In Canada, we can get an uncirculated set for a particular year, or there seems to be a lot more sets now, even a Baby Gift Set http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/baby-gift-set-2011-prod1030006 Not sure, but I would expect the US Mint to have something comparable.
a fun/unique piggy bank, a handprint-making kit, money for their bank account (not unique, but that was our favorite gift for our kids LOL)
Someone gave Brady one of these little Stephen Joseph bags, monogrammed with his name. We still use it everytime we go out! Loved it so much in fact that Noah got one for his first Christmas! There's tons of adorable designs available. You can find them at most children's boutiques...and they're not too expensive either! http://www.stephenjosephgifts.com/
Blake is turning 1 this month and I have no idea what to ask people to get him. He already has a TON of toys and clothes from his older brother so I will be keeping my eye on this thread to see what fun ideas you guys come up with, LOL!
I do like keepsakes! You could get one of the figurines with her age on it and then you get one each year after that so like 16 years worth of gifts done! LOL The precious moments ones are so pretty! <3 1st bdays are super hard IMO.
