It all seems so weird. Not long along we had fires in our area and now we have floods but thankfully not as bad as 3 years ago. I took these photos this afternoon. In this next photo you will see a blue and white sign... that is where the walking path is along the river bank. The water is covering all the picnic areas along the river bank. This next photo you will see a brick building on the right side of photo ... that is the shower/toilets for our caravan park which is just about all now under water.
Oh my.. Hope the flooding subsides and you stay dry. Thinking of you and keeping you all in my prayers.
Mother Nature has been on a bit of a tear lately, yes? Please stay safe and out of flooded parking lots and roadways. It's super easy to become overwhelmed in a vehicle when there is so much water.
Oh my, Mother Nature seems to be a bit perturbed with you this year! Those photos really tell the story. Stay safe and dry.
Oh wow! We had flooding here last week (schools and everything were closed) but it all subsides after a day or two...as long as the rain stops.
It hasn’t been fun up here in Queensland. Today was the first day we’ve had no rain in 3 weeks. My city, the Gold Coast was inundated, with roads and schools closed in some areas. And then today blue skies, steaming hot with thunder rumbling in the distance. I spent most of today hanging and drying washing! blerkkkkk
I am truly sorry to read this. It's just one weather extreme after another. Stay safe Anne-Marie and I really hope things will calm down weather wise SOON! ❤️
It’s been a rough start to the year hasn’t it? We’ve been lucky to escape the floods, It’s the one thing that Canberra seems to avoid as we aren’t really on a flood plain, we’ve copped everything else though. Good luck and I hope the water subsided soon xx
yep, from one extreme to another this summer - the local radio station must have a bit of a sense of humor because they've been playing Vance Joy's The Fire & The Flood and Dragon's Its Been Raining For So Long on a regular rotation the last couple of weeks
Yes Cheryl it did ease up. It was not like it was 3 years ago when our town was cut off for two nights.
