feeling more at home

Cath, you have been busy to get all this month's challenges completed already. I am itching to get some done but presently other things away from the computer are getting in the way.

I haven't done one challenge yet! I've done lots of shopping though :giggle

Don't feel bad about not being on a CT, I'm not either :) I'm sure it would be fun, but quite a bit of pressure. There's probably more of us non-CT folk around than you think. Xx

I'm not a CT and don't think I want to be -- way too much pressure! I just like making pages for my books. :) Sometimes for the challenges, I make pages that may not even go in a book -- just to get a challenge done! So many of the challenges are great for a page with one photo but I usually take quite a few photos of an event! Oh Wait -- I just made a page for the Inspiration Challenge and used quite a few photos and it will end up in a book!

Why I gave up all my CT work. Too much pressure!!! I enjoyed being a guest here for just one month. That was just enough and then I wanted to get back to my old life of just scrapping and doing challenges!!

Cath, most scrappers are NOT on CTs! You just know the ones that are b/c they post a lot in the galleries! I don't mind guesting occasionally but I have no interest in scrapping on demand. I much prefer being a shopper and using what I want when I want. You mention this a lot so it must bother you. I hope you are able to let it go and experience the freedom of just creating for the love of it.

Cath, I agree with others, like Mary, who pointed out that you notice CT members simply because they post in the gallery more--or their siggy says "CT member for ____" (or "CTM for ____ and ____ and ____ and _____"). No one has a siggy that says "NOT a CT member for anyone :neener"
Not only that, but there are a LOT of people who "lurk" here, or who simply shop without ever checking out the forums. So your subject pool is skewed. :)

oh Sara!!! you are pure joy to my heart! @Tree City
I am a CT. just here at the Pad. Over the past 8 years or so, I have been on 100s of teams. I don't play video games or computer games, I CT....lol, I look at each release as a game.
I can choose to play...
download and make a page within a certain amount of time...the release date!lol
I have over the past 8 years spent a good sum of money, and I have probably scrapped 4 pages out of those purchases! lol
so I Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed the pressure! bhahhahahaha

but over the past 8 years, I have become very very very choosy where I CT. I am exclusively and my heart belongs to the Pad. If I was not a Polly, I would be here and only here, because I adore this place, there is pure respect for the owners and from the owners, to the designers to the Polly and the creating peeps are honored and held so high...sniff sniff
I love this place and so hope everyone can feel that it is a home away from home (no dishes, or vacuuming)

nice to see more members joining that don't ct for anyone, like me
I will admit I joined because of being on a CT. BUT I was really worried because I am a paper scrapper, now doing hybrid because of it and loving it! But I love the forums here and it actually reminds me of how paper scrapping was when I started out and was a member at Two Peas. I have even found some of the Two Peas girls here! @janedee !! And I love hanging out.

But I am also a lot like @AnneofAlamo and I do like the challenge of CT's (or design teams as we call them in the paper world!). And I also like the team atmosphere. I love the energy that comes from creating with other people and the same products. And stretching out of my normal creating area.

I am not on as many teams as I have been and I am liking it that way. I am really really REALLY wanting to do more hybrid and one of my teams ends this month. So when that obligation is filled then I can dive into hybrid more.

Hope everyone doesn't mind the hybrid girl hanging out creating pages just because AND for challenges!!!

I love hearing from everyone. Envy for hyprid, I messed with paper, but not for long.
I have been paper scrapping since around 2009. I was always one that said I would never ever scrapbook, those people and all that paper! BAWWHAAA!!! But I thought digital might be fun and actually started that way. Then I had a friend that became a scrapbooking manufacturing and I got hooked on paper. I cannot ever imagine not doing paper, because right now I have a ton of supplies!

And I had always wanted a wide format printer and never took the plunge. I was content with doing it on letter size paper. After joining Liz's team I decided what the heck, let's get that printer. And now I have created some of my most favorite pages ever with hybrid!

@KatrinaHunt13 ITA with you about the forum here! It has the best atmosphere and energy of any forum I've tried since 2 Peas! I joined TLP only a couple of months before you, because I had just started CTing for Lynn but I loving hanging out here regardless of whether or not I CT.
