February Style Challenge

@bjc This post from the Art Journal Must Challenge in May 2025, includes some downloadable free templates for bookmarks.

Free Bookmark Templates:
Here are some bookmark templates I have created if you would like to download and use them.

Dropbox link is: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/13u31nkk9sqcxsfi4lboj/h?rlkey=de0rizu9xs6wfvd6lla86fd3c&dl=0

The idea is to open the template save it straight away with a new name, hide the title layer and then turn on the layer visibility for the one (s) you want to work with. You can either just leave the other layers hidden or just delete them and save again
You're the best Stefanie!!

Can you explain or show me the tools you used to made them cutting off the corners, adding a circle punch out. I use Photoshop but not sure how to do this. Thanks
Michelepixels shared the best & easiest way to produce a rounded corner for your bookmarks/tags. If you were looking to do something like clipped corners at the top, here is how I accomplish this in Photoshop.

I use the rectangle shape, add a very large stroke of the same color - my example below used 300 px. Then next to the stroke is a stroke options box, click on that & you can set the type of corner. I chose the last one which is an angled corner. The align was set to center - but you can set it to outside for a slightly different result.

To add the punch I just create a circle using the shape tool, center it on my bookmark/tag then right click, 'make selection' and I then mask it. (If when you mask & everything disappears except the circle - just click on the mask & invert it by using control+i .) Afterward, I just drag my rectangle to whatever length I want it to be and mask off the angled edges at the bottom. Once I am done I will make a copy, merge the layers, rasterize, and at that point I will clip a paper to the newly created bookmark/tag. Hope it helps!

@bcnatty Thanks for this wonderful challenge! There is so much inspiration already in this challenge!

I'll be back to post my page when I get it finished. I love incorporating bookmarks/tags as a main part of the layout!
