@kelley made her own silhouettes and I am in love with those and her page for the ART MUSE challenge.
mmmm NOPE. Yes, templates most definitely help, but you are talking to someone who can add a layer or 25 to Cheryl's Fiddle Dee Dee's {Dressed Up} @gonewiththewind can vouch for me so, yes, the template most definitely helps, but it is the interpretation of the template that makes the pages a Stand Out/Froggy Fave........ I used to be against templates when I first started.... I remember even saying that it was like cheating, because someone else had done at least half of the work for you. When I commented about it in one of my CT's, the designer (whom I love and is an exemplary scrapper) took the time ad patience to explain to me how she thought differently.... and gave me examples of same templates by different people.... and the way each of us works is different... so, no talking about better or worse, just the fact that YOU are inside the page (and not in the photo, you know what I mean) YOU choose the kit, the papers, the little bits and pieces that transform the template into your page..... and I just happened to LOVE it..... and I think everyone will agree with me!!!! @michelepixels
I see what you're saying Cynthia. And the more I change a template -- which I usually do a lot -- the more it feels like mine. I changed almost nothing about this one though. Thanks again!
LOVE love and LOVE more people who can master patterns mixing like @Trish does!!!! and yeah, she rocks her age allright!!!!!!! Today is Danyale's day for Love Our Designers and I need time to bring more pages here.... but Trish is a great start!!!!!!! LOVE this!!!!
If you still haven't shopped at Danyale's store today (as is The LOD's her day today!!!!) here is some AWESOME inspiration from Courtney @bestcee ... I need to get every piece she used for me to scrap!!!! LOVE the page so much, the light, the super gorgeous colors, every choice is a perfect fit!!!!!
I really love this page! It's a really clever composition, a very unusual photo crop which wouldn't work on a lot of layouts but really does here and looks fabulous nestled into the collage design on the right hand side, the bit of self love today word art on a slant adds a fabulous sense of movement and then the placement of the photo is perfect because the confetti spill fills the rest of the white space and draws the eye from left to right along with your arrows up to the photo. perfect!
wow!! How striking is this with that colour on the black background I LOVE it and the simplicity speaks a thousand words!
