FEB '18-MONthLy Muse | Handwriting, Alphas and Fonts oh MY?!

It's a fun challenge, that's for sure!

 

Dragged out my Wacomm and actually used it. Just enough to finish and not enough to get irritated, lol. Thanks for the fun!!

 

No idea how I could make such a colorful page with such a quote, but there you have it.

I tried drawing with the mouse and was not happy. So I asked my lovely daughter to use her extra pen tablet like you do.

I have messed up my computer big time. I am currently sitting here in safe mode running a system scan.

Never let it be said that I am not talented!

Happiness returns. My computer is up and stable. No tablet, but I will just move on to plan b!

Figured a work around. I drew in my phone and then took screen prints and emailed them to myself. Whew!

 

Fun challenge once I started trying different brushes.

 

If you have a stylus, usually you can use that on the screen. Our touchscreen has a harder surface than a regular screen.

I'll be back to play! Remembering how long my siggie took to handwrite, I better block out lots of time!

 

I gave up.. I am too lazy @bestcee Courtney to hook up the wacom again .. In the future I may cheat and write it myself on white paper and scan it in... then just change blend mode for the scanned layer to multiply or darker and it will get rid of the white background... at least my handwriting will be legible then

 

I use Gimp, so I had to poke around a bit to figure out how to do this. I had fun doing it, though the writing part was a bit challenging. I think I figured out the whole putting something in the gallery correctly, I hope!

I used my mouse.

 

I knew using a mouse was going to be a pitb and I sure wasn't wrong, but I smoothed out with it fairly quickly. Once I stopped worrying so much, I was messing myself up trying too hard. I could have spent a few more hours working this out but time's been getting away from me, and there's already another to do.

(But man oh man, now I want a graphics tablet so I can play more. I've always wanted to explore lettering.)

 

I have a font made of my own printing - but I suppose that's not what you want, eh? LOLOL

I am going to steal my husbands Wacom pad and see if I can do this one!
