Favorite TLP Scrap Page Created in 2017?

What amazing layouts!

I found this photo that I had scanned many years ago. It was old, faded, torn, scratched, out of focus, taken from a distance - in essence, everything that a photo to scrap probably shouldn't be. But it was so full of memories! My three younger sisters (two of whom are now deceased) and my grandmother (who is also deceased) and my Mom and Dad's old white station wagon and my grandmother's house! How could I not try to save it? For those reasons alone, it is probably my favorite layout this year.

That question is as hard for me to answer as if you'd asked me which of my children is my favorite.

I tried. I scrolled through my folder of layouts I made this year. I kept finding awesome pages. But I can't pick one as a favorite.

So this one is NOT my favorite. But I finally picked it to share because I want to share one, and this is one of the pages I put the most effort in, was most inspired, was designed myself (as opposed to using a template), has content very important to me, and looks very pleasing to my eye.

So hard to narrow down to one layout! Probably this one for a few reasons- 1- dole whip. 2- fun blending & shadowing!

This was one of my favorites because of how beautifully it turned out and it's probably the most meaningful. I took a trip last January with my mom and other family to the Philippines to visit my mom's family there, particularly my Lola (mom's mom) who was 92. I've not been able to spend much time with Lola due to the distance (my last visit was 2005)and I know my mom has missed being able to see her regularly (her last visit was 2012). This visit was precious and bittersweet just knowing it might be the last time we would see her. And in fact, God took her home in May, just 4 months after our visit. This photo was taken our last day before going to the airport. It was totally candid but it captures so much. Literally my favorite photo out of the thousands we took.

This is a trick question, right? I must check out my gallery... I doubt I could pick one. :giggle

Always! I had a hard time picking one too! But it is interesting to see which ones drew my eye and heart more than others.

Definitely this one:

Funny story, I scrapped this at 4am sitting in an airport on my way to Orlando. For an early morning scrap it didn't turn out half bad.

This one - I love the photo perspective so much

And now I am thoroughly disgusted at how little I scrapped in 2017 ...

I don't want to pick one...

I have narrowed it down to four... and that's of the only 50-something pages I made last year. I don't know how you guys with hundreds of pages can pick one!!! But LOOK LOOK if I line up the thumbnails like this, it totally looks like one page, and NO ONE WILL KNOW!!

2017 was a tough year for me and I didn't scrap much, but when I did manage to scrap, Art Journalling really helped me say what I had to say. For me, this page was both my favourite and said everything I needed said.
