Favorite Meal| Pad Patter 3.29

I love homemade soups and stews with fresh bread. And I love homemade mac n cheese made by someone else because I don't have a good recipe for it.

Chicken and Sausage Gumbo has ALWAYS been my favorite meal! It just brings back memories of being a little girl and sitting at the table, surrounded by my family. Every time I make it now, I still feel the love and the warm fuzzies. A new favorite is one I made last week...chicken, bacon, ranch mac and cheese. Oh, my goodness it's SO GOOD!!! Rib sticking, warm your soul good.

My parents make the most amazing chicken parmesan with twice baked potatoes. It's always been my favorite and they make it for my birthday every year. It is a lot of work but totally worth it!

I scroll straight down as is almost 3 am here , am starving and can't cook anything....
but we have a couple, both are Brazilian dishes: Moqueca de Camarao, which is small prawns cooked in coconut milk., with dende oil and spices, flat leaf parsley in the end, is eaten with white rice.

The other one is Feijoada which is Black beans stew made with lots of different cuts of meats...it was created by the slaves who had to cook with all the left overs from the manor house, so it has very unusual cuts of meat like pigs feet (our version does NOT include those!!!) and is eaten with farofa, which is fried manioc flour with different variant depending who is cooking, fried greens with garlic and slices of oranges....

I make a mean pork roast. I serve it with garlic & herb yellow or red potatoes.
Can I come to your house the next time you fix it? My husband doesn't care for pork so I haven't had a pork roast since my Mom passed away.

@pbrooks I just made bbq pork ribs last night. Hubby was texting me while I was shopping "Can you get the pork & bbq sauce stuff you make?" I'd already had it in my cart. :giggle I bet your mom made a great pot roast. There's nothing like home cooked comfort food. :heartlub

Sounds yummy! When are you cooking for us?

So many favorites, but chili is my 2nd most favorite food ever (right after popcorn).

One of my most favorite is when someone else cooks - like my 14 yr old daughter. She wants to be a chef and own her own diner some day. She can practice on me any time.
