Favorite European Vacation Spots

We did a trip to barcelona last year when we went to Spain we went to the football ground and spent the afternoon in the city and evening at the fountains it was beautiful but needed longer in the city and will definately go back.we stopped at estival park was all inclusive and people from all over the world so not a typical Brit get drunk place.I'll find you a link later we have been back twice now and will go again beach is right infront of hotel and you feel safe and just a bus ride from salou and porta Ventura theme park
 
I'm biased - I'll say Norway;) South coast in the summer, mountains in the winter. Also the fjords for awesome nature.

Also, any of the Greek islands, or the Canaries for beach holidays. I love London, Barcelona, Copenhagen and Amsterdam for city breaks - and I want to go to Prague and Rome, but I've never been. I didn't really like Paris as much as I thought I would, but maybe it was a case of unrealistic expectations;)

I went to Disneyland Paris and really liked it, but I've never been to the real thing. It has probably changed a lot since I went though, I was about 13, and it was the first year it opened. We also went to an Asterix theme park, which was cool, and I think it was near Paris.
 
I'm with Kristine - the Greek islands are gorgeous. The smaller the better (although be prepared that hotel standards are generally lower in Greece). And I may be biased - but London is a great place to visit! Depending on how brave / into gory things he is your son might enjoy the London Dungeons, but there's always Madame Tussauds (with the Planetarium next door), the Aquarium or London Zoo instead along with all the historical sights - The Cutty Sark, Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament & Trafalgar Square, London Eye etc. Here's some information on the London bus tours if you're interested!
 
Thanks girls, such awesome information here. I can't wait to get over there and start traveling. I need to start making a list of all the places we want to go, and find some more cash. We are going to go broke with all this travel! But you gotta try, not like we will have this kind of opportunity again.
