So my kids are on spring break this week and yesterday we woke up to SNOW! Lol! Not what I was expecting for Michigan weather in April. So yesterday my hubby and I were doing all of the things that mean the start of spring season... He was listening to Jimmy Buffett on Pandora. We went out and had a local beer (Oberon) that is seasonal and is released in the spring. And I was scrolling pinterest looking at spring flowers since we don't have any growing here yet! Lol! So, what is your favorite flower? Mine is pink peonies because they remind me of my Grandma. She had the most beautiful patch of peonies growing around her house and I loved them!

So what about you? What are your favorite flowers?

I LOVE peonies too! They smell amazing!

I think tulips are also beautiful and gardenia also smells divine. I have to enjoy them after someone else grows them, though, because I cannot grow anything.

I love roses, but I also love Texas Blue Bonnets. When I lived in TX I used to love driving on I35 in the spring from our place in central TX (a little north of Austin) and drive up to my Aunt's home in Bedford (by Dallas / Ft Worth) and I loved seeing all the blue bonnets growing in the grasses on the side of the highway.. gorgeous. I always wanted to get my photo taken in a field of blue bonnets but never had the opportunity.

I adore peonies too! And they are so long-lived: the same patch grew in my mother’s garden for as long as I can remember, welcoming spring for generations of the family....

I love roses, especially the old varieties and the new David Austin English roses. Sadly they do not love the South Carolina climate! I have given up trying to convince them otherwise. Lilacs and wisteria are wonderful, and flowering tobacco with its delicious fragrance.

My favorite weed is chicory because of the pretty blue flowers. I like daffodils a lot because the deer won't eat them. Black-eyed Susans are a favorite too. Can I just like them all?

Yesterday, we got the official, for sure, it is spring indicator -- pine pollen. It happens for about 3 weeks and you get a yellow dust everywhere - even comes in the car vents and settles on your dashboard. The joys of living in the south.

Not too many flowers I don't like, but if I only get to pick one, it would be the sunflower. And we had about 3" of snow yesterday, too. :overreact

I read about the snow, both in US and north Europe, and it's strange because it's spring here since late January. Right now it's 75 F. But then I realize that my country is a mess in any other aspect, so there's nothing to be jealous of. :)
@BevG we had that pine pollen/yellow dust mixed with Africa dust, but two weeks ago or so, we were lucky to have a heavy rain, like really heavy, and it's all clean now.

pine pollen
We have a bunch of ponderosa pine trees behind our house & get that lovely yellow dust! My allergies go crazy! I guess it's good that it's still too cold for the pine pollen!

My favorite flower is a daffodil but I really like all flowers! Peonies, hydrangea, tulips, lilies are just a few that I have in my yard!

I love sweet peas. And daisies. And lilacs. And Johnny-Jump-Ups. And pansies and petunias. Oh, and mums! And dandelions....yes, I think dandelions are so delightful! Especially when they fill a whole field with their yellow blossoms. I especially love it when they turn into wishes!

They’re in bloom right now; started about a week ago. Pink buttercups too. I want to try to take some new pics before they go away. Most years I end up forgetting before they disappear.

My absolute favorite is peonies. Second would be miniature vintage roses. I also love poppies and night-blooming jasmine.

I want to get current ones of Harrison. I have some really great ones from a few years ago that I haven’t scrapped yet. I have a bluebonnet kit from another store, but I’ve been waiting for a TLP designer kit that speaks to me. KWIM?

I love California Golden Poppies. I miss seeing them! I have lots of favorites: roses because they were my mom's fave, Johnny Jump Ups and pansies, snapdragons, and hydrangeas.
