So we are having a family reunon in July and my family asked me to do some sort of scrapbooking event. I have never paper scrapped so this is a little scary for me. Any ideas anybody can share would be appreciated.

I am thinking of doing a family memories album with them. I can have each member of the family bring some copies of photos with a story/stories to go with them. I will bring a photo album and we can each add our photo and place a index card with the journaling to go with the photo next to the picture. All the stories/photos would have to tell a memory they have with our family. It would be nice to see how some of the great grandkids have related to the family from a different prespective than the great aunts and uncles.

Any idea on how I can make the album look fancier and the work be easy for non-scrappers? I was also thinking I can bring my scanner and get copies of the pictures and makie a digiversion family members can buy online if they would like.

    you could do mini albums.
i know there are certain ways you can fold 12x12 cardstock to make a book.
    here's some links about that.

where you can add photos and elements. ribbons and tags. (it's really cute)

one of my favorite type of albums to make.
that are CHEAP and super easy.
    are paper bag albums.
i don't have any pictures taken of any i've made.
but here are some fun sites i've found.

what's fun is you can fold the bag and create pockets to add tags (and they fit CDs perfectly)
i used to make these ALL the time.

That sounds fun Lori, I don't have any ideas for you, unfortunately.

Great links Jacque, thanks for sharing!

I would just get a cheap 8x8 album, some cheap embellies and glue sticks...hand it all to them and run!
I've done paper before and it's all good and fun, but getting family to contribute in a timely manner is not easy.
If it was me I would get them to send their pics and stories to you before hand and do it yourself...digi.
