i realize all the time that i have these sayings that i say all the time...the most prevalent being "i know, right?" what do you find yourself saying repeatedly?
Seriously. I say it in kind of sneer. I use it when someone, mostly DH, is doing something that I think is ridiculous. Of course I also yell "Dylan" a lot. Everyone who lives close to us knows I have a son named Dylan. I think all the stores I frequent know it too. Why I have to yell his name 10 times for him to actually listen I do not know. LOL
i have been wearing the tar out of "i KNOW, right???!!" i have no idea where i picked that up. it's just so appropriate. and. um. lately i've picked up craptastic.
oh yeah I have some of these . . . 'oh cool' and one that I don't realise I'm saying half the time is 'just like'
super. Until DH informed me that I am an adult so I now I try not to say it! lol I think that's it right now!
Yep, I use seriously alot. And like Cherry and yelling "Mathieu don't...." all the time... darn child of mine... hehehehe...
i say to the kids something like "No ya not doing that ....SIMPLE AS" wtf does it mean lol,one of them said it to me the other day and its sounds awful so why do i say it lol oh i call everyone mate too and a male customer told me off at work the other week said im not his mate and that i should call him sir
Let's see... Seriously?? Stop! Don't do that! What are you doing?? Those last three are usually directed at my 5 year old. LOL One phrase that I don't say but others do around me, which happens to drive me crazy is..."I mean, you know??" My mom is the worst with it.
I say 'cool' a lot when I am instant messaging online. And I have this habit of saying 'I know, right?'...or 'seriously???'.
This is me lately. I probably got it from you Lauren. Or at least that's the story I'm sticking with.
My brother is a professional photographer and I think he told me 18 months ago that all the twenty somethings that were coming in were saying "I know, right". And then I noticed my 16 year old DD saying it, and now I catch myself saying it. I think it's fascinating how phrases spread. I think craptastic needs to be added to my vocabulary. Also...Bazinga from Big Bang Theory. Cracks me up.
claire - us old people gotta stick together. wolff - i think that's it! i'm surrounded by 19-20 year olds!
oh bazinga for sure need to become an active part of my vocab. love that show! i have said i know, right for as long as i can remember. should i now be embarassed that 20-somethings say it. LOL i also say the following with unreasonable regularity: really? seriously? that's all i'm saying camden, i said no stop hitting your sister emma be nice to your brother you'll eat what i fix or you'll go to bed without dinner geez, i'm sensing a disturbing pattern.
Hmmm...I too also say "I know, right?" quite a bit lately. Actually think I may have gotten that from you Leslie, lol! Or Crystal. I can tell what I say a lot because it will be what Bugga says a lot now too. She's in the repeating Mommy phase. So apparently I say things like "Oh my word" and "Bless your heart" and "no thank you"....which is something I say when Bugga is doing something that needs a bit of behavior modification, lol. And also "gooped up on the gop". I've also been making good use of "word" and "concur" lately.
I tend to say 'rock' alot. Like as in you rock or that rocks. Totally age inapropriate, I know. But mostly it's just you run of the mill yelling at your kids stuff. Stop that! Settle down! Someone's gonna get hurt! That sort of stuff.
