Now that my kids are back to school, I want to change up my exercise routine. What kind of exercise do you do/like?

I am a big fan of a daily walk. My BFF drags me to Jazzercise occasionally. I love yoga. I am starting back to a tennis league this fall after not playing for a long time, which I am pretty excited about. I am hoping to find one more activity to change it up a bit.

i am a big fan of a daily walk too! i walk 3.11 miles at least every day:-)
i love pilates too and i'm looking forward to getting back to it!

You're right. Just looking at your Facebook makes me feel like a slacker.
'

Yes.

My kids go back on Friday and I'm looking forward to getting back into the 30 day shred. It's about all I do because I can't stand to walk with the little one I babysit, lol!

I am ready to get into a regular exercise routine this school year. This is the first time my youngest will be gone in the morning. My plan is to work out in the mornings right after they get on the bus.

I usually run for my main form of exercise. It is the only thing that gives me results. I also plan to work out with a trainer once a week. I also like to use videos every once in a while, usually one of Jillian's workouts.

What's sad is, I'm not doing as much as I used to, and I'm feeling fat and lazy.

Sadly, I don't exercise. But I do teach tumbling to toddlers. That should count as something. Right?

I love Zumba! If your local gym has that I would give it a try.

i'm so excited to get back into a regular workout routine once school starts (not until after labor day here ...) ... i'm planning on:

1) swimming with a masters swim team 2x/week
2) doing the C25K 3 times/week (and then continuing to run 3 miles 3x/week)
3) doing some weight training 3x/week at koko fit club

that should be it for starters :) i do enjoy step aerobics, zumba and yoga - so i may go to those classes for fun on days when i have free time ...

I'm just looking forward to running outside somewhere other than my house once school starts.

I do Bob Harper's kettlebell DVD every once in a while, but mainly I would just rather run.

I really enjoy walking and was walking 4 miles a day everyday, but then Rick came home and I got lazy. I still went out a lot, but then the heat came. It's been so hot and humid I haven't even wanted to go outside.

Time to stop being a slacker!!

I LOVE deep water aerobics, but the only day it's offered are the days I work. I wish I could find another class...and I don't really like shallow water aerobics...not enough of a workout!

I've been walking daily, but really miss running... so now that Moriah figured out how to ride her bike w/o training wheels, I can start running again with the boys in the double jogger, I'm so excited... I think once I'm back to running regularly, then I'll add in some DVDs, especially since I'm a wimp running outdoors in the winter and hate the treadmill, besides the fact that my treadmill is really not built for running, so I can only walk on it lol

I had to back off exercising this summer (cries) because of those #(*$#@ spurs in my hip, which are still there, BUT at least the muscles that I dinged up around that hip are almost all better now (I can balance!).

I plan on gradually getting back into Kettlebells, one minute at a time, 5 swings at a time. And getting back on the 30DS wagon, modified so I don't reinjure that hip again. And the kids and I keep talking about riding our bikes to their schools. What I didn't think about during the summer when we talked about it, was how much parent-traffic there was in the morning and how dangerous it is around the schools!

Does anyone else here ride their bike semi-regularly? Maybe we could push each other. At least when the temps aren't up in the 100s.

I like to run outside when the weather permits, Jillian Michaels DVDs, and I recently discovered Blogilates. Cassie has many free videos ~15 minutes long that do some serious a** kicking.

Sigh. I want to get into a regular routine.
But so far, my only excersice program consists of is getting up,
and working at the computer. LOL!!! Hopefully along with fall will come
some motivation. Sorry if I'm NO help!!

In July I started a group on Facebook to run at least one mile per day. I did it! Ended up with 52 miles of running and 12 miles of walking.

In August I am not running daily, but more like 5x/week. And I'm doing burpees. The number of burpees corresponds to the day of the month, so I'm up to 15 now. It hurts and I huff and puff by the time the 9th burpee comes around, but my arms, shoulders, and abs are much more toned!
