She will certainly develop a different impression of me if she does.
I've been looking at the Kindle too.I started with a Kindle and now I primarily read on my iPad. I like having the backlight. The size doesn't bother me, though I've dropped it quite a bit falling asleep while reading. A Kindle Fire would have been perfect for me, but I have the iPad already so I don't need it now.
In fact, I lent my original Kindle to my MIL so she could read my books. I sincerely hope she isn't reading the Fever books on there. She will certainly develop a different impression of me if she does.

the BN membership never used to apply to Nook Books. Does it now?? I have had a membership up until a couple months ago and just haven't renewed because it didn't apply to nook books.
The reason I chose a nook over a kindle was primarily for in store support. I LOVE being able to go to the store if I have an issue or anything, though that hasn't happened yet. I have had zero issues with it at all but the thought is nice that I can do that if I need to!
