so, I am an element hoarder, I love to have tons and I love to fill my page with them, but I know some I have a proper phobia, delete them as soon as I can...for example ballooons...
BUT
Allison has these AWESOME ones for the BYOC

and I LOVE them!!!! I scrapped with them and loved it!!!

I have another problematic element: doilys. I love them when I look at them, but except in very exceptional occasions, I never know well how to use them and it ends up looking so bad I take them away from the page.....

have you got any phobias? have you been able to find the excepotion?
any dislikes?

If I started disclosing my scrap phobias I would need a scrap therapist for sure. I have grown more phobic this year than I was last year -- explain that to me.

guns, scissors and knifes i zip right away, i don't like red, so i try and have it not show in folder when looking at my folders

LOL Carrie!!!!!! well, I don;t know...but, like I said to Cath in the other thread....lets work together to make our disfunctional brains better!!!!!!!!!!

funny, I love scissors..I thinlk only came across a gun element on a freebie ages ago...never used it
RED? LOVE red!!!!!!!!

I don't delete anything. But there's tons I don't use. Super big curly ribbon? No. I often avoid foliage, too. I just can't cluster with them very well, or don't like how I shadow them, or something.

I avoid big chunky stuff, like a realistic looking thing that would be too big to actually go in my scrapbook (for example, a Christmas ornament ball) and shadowing those type items scares me - lol!

Funny, but in real life card making I hate doilys. Doesn't matter what you do with them, they still look like they belong under a cake.
In scrap kits it is my before mentioned small fake silk flower things with the hole in the middle.

^^^^ This. I can't remember the last time I used a leaf on a page. I love how other people do it, but I can't seem to make it look good. And the same with big curly ribbon.

And spiders. If there is a spider in a kit, it gives me the willies. LOL.

give me foliage!! I love it! and think it is one of most searched

but I have a hard time with journal cards, they are so cute, but I can never figure out where to put them?
and banners? they seem to never lay right for what I want them to say..
@Cath_ red is my most requested color for any kit any time...I adore that color...funny how we are all so different!

It was mentioned above but "real" elements are hard for me. Like real pencils on a page. It always looks so fake on my page but amazing on others.

If I'm working with a template, I tend to stay away from really big chunky elements that wouldn't fit on a real scrapbook page. However I used to scrap more of a 3D type look and I used a lot of larger elements. But I haven't done much of that for years.

Oh gosh, I can never have enough elements to chose from! Gimme more!!! But, I very seldom use cloth flowers on my LOs cuz I just can't seem to get the shadow to look right. :-/

I love leaves, foliage, sticks, a small flower with a long stem, berries.......... But the minute I see the large flowers ... nope

At first I didn't think I'd have an answer for this, though I agree with you on doilies. Then I read further and I also have a bit of trouble with bulky items that wouldn't realistically fit in a scrapbook. And I have a real life phobia of spiders, so if there's one in a kit that's realistic, I'd delete it. I do remember once choosing not to buy a halloween kit because of the prominence of the spider in the preview image. :giggle

bottle caps! I cannot seem to figure out what the point of them is or how to use them!

Give me leaves and flowers every day! <3 I love how different people's styles and tastes are!

I can't think of anything I'm scared of although I don't often use buttons or staples. I do use them, but it's mostly when I can't think of anything else to go there. I love big bulky things, and consider the ability to use them a major advantage over paper scrapping! :) I very rarely delete anything. I have deleted some word art where it was a quote or something I didn't agree with at all, but that doesn't happen often.

I have to agree with you on this one...I have never used a bottle cap on a page before because I couldn't imagine using them on a paper page either.

Absolutely - I always delete the bottle caps! It also annoys me when a kit has lots of flowers but no foliage to go with it. I need both!!
I also have difficulty using buckles, hinges, locks, screws, chains - mostly metal stuff, although I love charms and keys!

I have trouble with 3D elements, flowers and flairs! I do use flowers and can get them to work if they're flat, but others...ugh! I also wish I could use confetti and all those sprinkly things Valorie Wibbens and is so good at. I just can't get the right amounts and enough "space" around them.
