Who else was lucky enough to see this stunner last night? I honestly hadn't planned on going out to watch it, since I'd been sick for a few days, but I had a big nap in the afternoon & a last minute case of the "why-nots", so I grabbed my camera, cough drops & tissues and headed out. I am so glad I did! I didn't get as many good photos as I hoped for, but I got enough for a lay out or two, but even if I hadn't gotten any at all, it was beautiful to watch, and just so peaceful out in the middle of nowhere.

My husband took my son out to see it. I saw a glimpse out of the window. Some people's pics I've seen looked really cool.

We did! My 11 yr. old Grandson's science teacher has been talking it up to the kids in her class, so we didn't want him to miss it!

We had clouds all night. booo I did get to see the clouds turn orange but no photos.

Most of the photos I've seen are way better than mine, but that's ok, I'm still happy with what I got, just wish the weather had cooperated for everyone.

I usually never pay attention to these kinds of things but for some reason I was looking forward to this one and took some pics with my zoom lens right from my living room window.
Here are my faves:

Those are awesome Mirabel! I wish I could have seen it! We had clouds, I was so bummed. I wanted to wake my son up to see it later in the night, but every time I checked still clouds. :(

Thank you Jenn, the sky here was mostly clear. That is a bummer for the people who had clouds covering it!

I saw it, but I couldn't remember what settings to put on the camera, so no pics. Crap!! I even drove around for a while to see the moon and it took awhile for it to rise high enough for me to see it. That's what happens when you live among giant pines and in a small valley.

What a spectacular event! We had various breaks in the clouds to be able to watch some of it! It was super cool to view it thru binoculars and get a bit of a closer view! The pictures are great Maribel!

Those are fabulous, Maribel.

We saw it through some trees, but couldn't get pics. I'd totally forgotten about it, but my hubby took the recycling out and saw it, so I had to rush out and catch a glimpse. Even thought when I saw it there was still a little bit of it uncovered, it was still pretty cool.

I would have loved to see it but the timing was just a bit off. Since in my little corner of the world it would be viewable between 2am and 4 am and my alarm for another busy day at school (I'm a teacher) would go at 6.20am I decided to settle for the photos. And I love what I've seen so far! Those pics Mirabel took are so amazing!!

Wow! Amazing photos, Maribel. We were SOOO sad not to see it. Atlanta has been covered in clouds for days.

Gorgeous photos, Maribel! Nothing but clouds here as well. I was really bummed.

Those pics are amazing!! I did try to take a photo or two, but not sure I was able to capture much. It was really cool and it was fun hearing all the kids talk about it at school today.

I wish I had thought to use binoculars, that would have made it even more cool!

Your pictures are stunning, Mirabel! We didn't watch it: cloudy and even had a bit of rain.

amazing pictures Maribel!!!!!!!!

OIy was cloudy here too, but I have seen some amazing phiotos from my family in Brazil..... shame we couldnt see much here ....
