Dr. Doolittle? | Pad Patter 3.24.16

I talk to my dogs all the time. Of course, I don't really know what dogs think about but I sometimes wonder if they don't get tired of my voice LOL!

I even talk to the birds that come to our yard and I hate to admit it but I talk to my plants, too.

Yes, you ARE a Disney Princess! **giggle**

I definitely talk to my cat (and I also talk FOR my cat, giving her a special voice and responses LOL). I will also talk to other pets owned by friends and family. Not really to squirrels or other random animals.

I'm with Cheryl here..... you ARE!!!!!!!! not only the power of PS like @AnneofAlamo well said, but you are a writer...you can make yourself into one and she rocks!!!! :heartlub

Well, we don't have pets, but I occasionally yell at the neighbour's dog to stop barking in the middle of the night! I do talk to birds though and I found myself talking to a rather large snake the other day. I was walking down by the river and came across him sunning himself on the footpath. We regarded each other silently for some minutes and then I explained that he was in my way and that I didn't really want to step over him. He thought that quite reasonable and graciously, albeit slowly, moved off the path and into the bushes!

I always find it fascinating how things change depending on the language one is using... I have never thought of snakes as a HE...because in both Portuguese & Spanish there are gender words...the snake is always a SHE....
and then with cars.... here they call a car a SHE, for us (again both languages) the car is a HE.....
then you have some differences between Portuguese and Spanish, like milk is feminine in Spanish but masculine is Portuguese....
ignore me.
as usual my mind travels in so many directions when I read -at least now I remember to use the multi quote thingy and can actually keep something in my brain :giggle

Thank you for recognizing my princess status. :giggle

My daughter talks as our dog, Bobby. He's a Boston Terrier, but she uses a British accent when she speaks as him that she's pretty good at doing. :) (When she was young, she could totally nail the Austin Powers voice. LOL. )

you HAVE to record her doing it!!!!!!!!! and post it for me to hear it :giggle

I just wrote an essay on this for Mysticism class :lmao
I talk to all animals! Sometimes I ask my cat to hand me the remote & I have to stop & think for a minute. :crazy3
I'd be the one being attacked by a wild animal & I'd be asking it about the roots of its hostile feelings. I talk to all living things, even trees. Just, not all the time. Then, I'd never stop talking.

well, I go a bit further..... I talk to all living things (proved totally that plants that are taken to live longer and grow better!!!) but I also talk to non living things, like my computer, my cooker, my sink, my coffee machine, my fridge and my dishwasher... so, Jess, sisters again in every thing!!!!

I talk to my dogs all the time. Of course, I don't really know what dogs think about but I sometimes wonder if they don't get tired of my voice LOL!

I even talk to the birds that come to our yard and I hate to admit it but I talk to my plants, too.

like I said to Jess, yes, I do too, and they grow better for it!!!!!

so, in other words, like I said to Jess: yes, I talk to everything!!
we don't have animals at the moment but I talk to the neighbors and dogs in the street...I haven't been all that well to go to the squirrels this year though...we get lots around and foxes (I didn't talk to those though, but admit having fed them- but, again, as IO said above...
I talk to everything LOL

Tell your daughter to hush it, she is not just breaking your fantasy but the squirrel's one too.
