Do you have a tattoo ?

i have one on my left ankle too! Got it when i was 18 just because i could...oy! Its a sunset over the ocean with palm tree....haha!
 
I have a tattoo which is surprising to most people who know me. It is rather big and on the outside of my calf. It's a Phoenix and in color. I got it after going through a particularly difficult time so it is very meaningful to me. I had thought about it for 5 years before I did it so it definitely wasn't an impulsive decision. It hurt like heck and the whole thing was almost humorous. My leg was involuntarily shaking and my husband as well as the tattoo artist were trying to hold it still while I was tattooed. I don't regret my decision at all other than wishing it was a bit smaller. I'd like to get another in the future but once I decide what I want I plan to wait several years before getting it like last time.
 
I have two - both of them from when I was 18 and 19. I have an angel on my back (the Raphael cherub like this:http://www.fantasyarts.net/images/cherubsraphaellg.jpg), and then a cross with wings on my inside of ankle. I don't necessarily regret them, but sometimes I feel like they look not so nice. And it will only get worse as I get older. I do like the fact that neither are visible unless I want them to be. And I feel like IF my girls ever want one later in life I will just suggest that they really think about it and that they don't put it in a place that you would see it on your wedding day - I was in a wedding that everyone but me had one on their upper shoulder on the back and I just think it's not elegant looking- KWIM?! They were all pretty tattoos, but I just couldn't get over the fact that they all had bold tattoos with such elegant dresses.
 
I do. It's on my inside left ankle. It's a rather long story, but the short version is it's two turtle doves, and an exact replica of the necklace John gave me on our wedding day. I would love to get a second one of a small dog paw print.
 
I don't have one, though I thought about it when I was in my 20's. I was so surprised to hear "yes" from a few of you (Dana & Amanda, especially!) that it made me LOL

This is me, minus the thinking the about it in my 20s LOL
I have just always been scared of what they are going to look like in 20 years as my body ages. And I don't like to commit, my tastes change! :)
 
I haven`t one and I think I will never have one. I like tatoos... but I think not every person should wear them *eek* sometimes it looks so terrible.
 
I love tattoos on other people LOL I don´t have one, but would love to have the names of my boys somewhere (but UI don´t exactly know, where and I´m so afraid of the pain, so I know I will never do it)

I'm getting a quote and 3 birds, to symbolize the 3 marathons I've done. The colors match the races. And the third bird will be in full flight because now I can fly :) Plus then I won't have to go back every time I run a marathon. lol

I'm way to chicken too my sister laughs at me and says I have given birth 3 times I said yeah not like I change my mind half way through that is it lol

My husband has a few and they are nice 2 of them are designs centred round the boys names and date of births he just has to book himself an appointment to get one of Gabbis as for me I'll just keep admiring them from afar

I don't have any, but only because I can't decide what I want. I have a big birthday this year (39...again...ahem) and am toying with the idea of getting one if I can make a decision!
 
I have one, but I dream of doing some more....I have a star trail on my right ankle. I actually have a few images and ideas saved, to get inspired for my future tattoos...lol
 
i used to want a tattoo, but i can't think of one thing that i love so much that i want to permanently ink it onto my body. now that i'm a bit older, i don't want one so much anymore. plus i think i'd be a super big baby about it, so it's probably best if i just don't. *LOL*
 
I have 3 ( a twisted "iron" heart, a sand castle, and paw prints up my hip) all in areas that no one but my husband views on a regular basis - I am toying with another one.... I have a surgical scar on my left wrist that looks like a botched suicide attempt... I am thinking of tattooing something like this over it...

I have a few....

12 stars across each of my feet, a flower also on the top of my left foot, kanji for the four seasons on my lower back a Celtic star on the back of my left shoulder, a Celtic knot on the back of my neck, my mom's initials with angel's wings and shooting starts around my left wrist and 2 sparrows holding a banner with my kids' names and birth dates on the inside of my left lower arm....eventually I would like o have at least a half sleeve on my left arm.

I also have a Monroe piercing and small gauges in my ears....I used to have a few more piercings but they have gotten taken out for various reasons over the years.
 
Damn you, Brynn. I wanted mine on my left arm but the way the birds are, they'd be flying toward me instead of away, so I think I have to put it on my right arm. Now you have me questioning it. lol
