Do you have a tattoo ?

I don't have one YET! YET! I'm still pestering DH to let me get one for my birthday but he's just not into them. The kids though have a ton! (Yes, my youngest is 26! No, I'm not old!) :D

I'm too chicken to get one! And I always worry about how they'll look terrible 20 years from now. Plus, I don't have many spots I like to show off. :)

I'm getting my first one on 2/7! I had to book it a month out, because she was full. But she came highly recommended.

I'm getting a quote and 3 birds, to symbolize the 3 marathons I've done. The colors match the races. And the third bird will be in full flight because now I can fly :) Plus then I won't have to go back every time I run a marathon. lol

Have y'all heard of Eye-Liner Tattoos?!?! I'm really thinking I could do that and never have to apply eye-liner again! But I'm such a baby, I'm likely to cry through the whole thing and then I think of what I'll look like 20 years from now!

I have considered the eyeliner. But then I'm like... what if eyeliner style totally changes and suddenly I'm the modern day Tammy Faye Baker.

No, but I'd like to. If I accomplish a couple major goals in my life in the next few years, I have one in mind.

DH has two.

Angie - I wanted to like your post and then realized I'm not on Facebook :giggle

I don't have any. I've always had this fear of having to explain to my grandchildren what that wrinkly, colored skin used to be. I would be open to getting one, but I wouldn't get one for just the beauty of it. It would have to have a deep personal meaning.

I'm old enough to not care what anyone thinks. Maybe that's the key. LOL

i have a small one - it's in my hip/pelvic area though, so no one sees it. i got it when i was in college - it's a design my sister drew for me (w/ a sun, moon and star) - i like having it, but i'm glad it's hidden. i would LOVE to get the eyeliner, but i'm afraid of the pain! i should look into that ... my SIL has it and it's awesome ...

I do. I have 4 tattoos. And I am pretty sure I am done. I love them each and every one but, I am beginning to think my body is full enough. I like to keep them where you can't see them unless I want you to as well so that leaves just my trunk area really.....and there's enough. ;)

I have a butterfly on the small of my back:

I have Japenese writing on my left shoulder that says "spirit" and is there as a reminder for me to be true to who I really am, my true spirit.

And then my oldest daughter who is active duty USAF and leaving for 3 years in Hawaii next month got matching ones a few weeks ago. They are Sanskrit writing and say "Kindred Souls".

I didn't get my first one until I was 30. I really wanted to make sure that whatever I put on my body was going to have meaning for me for the rest of my life so, I think about them seriously before getting them.

I don't have any but if it was compulsory to have one, I would get and elephant because as I got older and wrinklier it would look better and better! :giggle

Wow Neenee! Those all look well done and colored beautifully!

I also wanted to mention that I love seeing other peoples tattoos and learning the meaning of them. Every body has a story to tell :)

Nope... none on me. I've always kind of been on the fence about them though. I was really considering it when my cousin came to Canada (from Pensylvania) and was doing free tatoos for the whole family! and he's good! But still couldn't decide what I wanted so figured it probably wasn't a wise decision.

I keep telling my daughter that whatever she picks should be meaningful enough to last forever, because styles change. I think I've convinced her to wait until she's had kids to do them so the skin won't stretch so much.

As for me, WAY TOO CHICKEN about the pain to do it! One of her friends has about 8 of them and I've seen them right after they were done. They are lovely but even look painful!

OH MY WORD...I have a mental picture of this

I have a dolphin over my left ankle (got it when I was 17) if I could do it again I wouldn't have gotten one because when I tell my kids know they are going to say "but YOU have one" *sigh* wasn't thinking of that at the time though....
