First of all, I have to say I haven't read the replies so maybe someone has said this, or maybe you are gonna hate me - if you can survive to the end of the post LOL)
Lili, you know I love you and your pages are absolutely amazing...now, as to the question....
I think of scrapbooking as an art...I dont see the difference between art & craft in my world/mind
and my belief, a very strong one I have carried all my life is that in any art, like in many other things in life....
is the truth is
beauty is on the eye of the beholder.
I know am not one of those -jaw dropper every time- scrapper, but I know something I may be doing "right" even though I dont think there is right or wrong beyond some basic color management....
but when one wants to talk about "bad" LOs....well, I have seen many, many pages in my life that are admired by people who are kinda ,erm how do you say , above the average...and I really did not like those pages, not a bit.
When one talks about things like this, which applies to the work of a designer too....
it maybe to my liking, whislt other hate the stuff....
you know what I mean?
none of those people arte wrong ...or right.
I know some people pay USA$ 400000 for a Jackson Pollock painting... I find my daughter's year 2's paint play a lot more valuable and pleasing to my eye...
and I know I listen to a kind of Brazilian music (and love it= yes, am a self confessed lover of sertanejo, country Brazilian music) which 80% of my friends hate with a passion...
so, thing is....
it depends who is asking, who is looking, who is judging.
I know there is a reasonable parameter, but I think if someone is doing this art/craft whatever you wanna call it, and thinks his/her work/play/scrap again, whatever you wanna call it, is 100% right every time...well....
there is no room for growing and the person is delusional
