Someone asked me : Do you ever make bad layouts???

Unfortunately yes I do!! Especially when I mojoless/stress... but sometimes my best pages are created when I'm stressed as I am more expressive. My layouts are most of the time the mirror of how I feel at that moment..
 
Hmmm I don't think I have EVER seen a page of yours I didn't like Lili - I think our art is very subjective though and we are our harshest critics :heartslub

YOu are right about we are our harshest critics!! I am one of them (learning to overcome it.. coz more often than not, I wanna get it perfect! but there is no such thing as a perfect page)
 
All the time. More than I would like. Sometimes though a page I don't care for is one someone else likes. And then I start to question the ones I do like. Lol.
 
Oh yeah! I don't post 'em to show anyone either! :giggle
 
In my mind ALL POLLYWOGS NEVER EVER have a bad layout in the gallery!! They are all my scrapping idol!!
 
I make plenty of "bad" pages too! Unless I am pretty happy with them though, I just toss them right out of PS and start again. It happens pretty often LOL
 
I feel the same way... and yep... I do my FAIR trade of "bad" pages, what ever that is!
 
yep, but if it is looking rough, I try to see if I can save it with anouter kit, elements or something and if not, I justy toss it!
 
OMG, yes. All the time. I like about 80% of the LOs I create, I tolerate the rest. But once they're done, they are DONE for me. No stressing, no shouldas or couldas. Moving on...
 
Yep I make my share of bad pages... they are the ones that NEVER EVER see the light of day!

That's me. My scrabooks are not all made out of perfect LO's, so I even print the ones I don't like that much. It's a piece of memory either way.
 
yes!! and i hate it :p
and as the perfectionist i am i have a hard time not to scrap them over again.
i think there's especially one page i've done over like 6 times now :p

this is such a subjective question (for me). i believe scrapbooking is art, and while my idea of art may not be someone else's idea of art, it is ALL art. There is no good, and no bad, there is just wonderful, thought-filled art and when that art includes memories, then it's ALWAYS a winner. :heartlub
 
funnily enough, the pages that I make that I don't like or feel they aren't up to the level that I hold myself tend to be others' favorites... except this one, this one is just bad. lol

Yes. Sometimes I just need the page to be done/off my list.

No one amongst my family and non-digi friends does anything remotely close to or creative like this & most don't have a great understanding of technology, too, so I remind myself that whatever I do is better than doing nothing at all and the only person who will judge its level of 'excellence' is me.
 
yupper....but yanno, i don't even care. like LA said, something is better than nothing and the only one who'll know it's 'bad,' is me. my kids love every page i've ever done, even in the beginning, so my job has been done!
