Do you celebrate Valentine's day with your DH/SO?

No, we don't celebrate. Our anniversary is the 12th though, so that's what gets celebrated. It will be 30 years on the 12th, but we might not do much more than dinner out this year. It was supposed to be a big trip...but gotta wait till his legs are strong enough to do all the walking and touring I have planned!

My bday is today, Amy, but we are celebrating it tomorrow. Taking DD to the doctor to be dxed with an ear infection and driving back and forth (and waiting outside) to Walmart to pick up her meds is not exactly what I had in mind for my bday. DH (and hopefully some friends of ours) are going to Dave & Buster's tomorrow night to celebrate, and then a friend of mine and I are going to head downtown Saturday night to catch a free concert and check out Super Bowl Village before all the tourists descend upon us next week. :)

Oh bummer! Well- Happy Birthday anyway! Sounds like you will have a good time this weekend though!

My birthday is Super Bowl Sunday...Boo. If I gave two craps about the super bowl, then that might be fun, but I don't so instead it's just a day where everyone I want to celebrate with is watching a football game.:giggle

We sometimes do little gifts/cards. DH is actually more romantic on that day than I am usually. I can't see spending the money to go out when all the restaraunts are so crowded! I'd rather go a different time. My hubby usually asks what I want I tell him to wait until the day after V-day and go pick me up a box of cheesy valentine's candy at half off. :giggle

happy birthday leeandra!!

We never celebrate Valentines. It's not big in Aus anyway, but it would still be nice to go ot for dinner or something. But each year it passes us by again!

I always think of Valentine's Day as more of a fun holiday for the kids. DH and I usually just do cards and maybe some chocolate, but I just got this email from him.

"We have reservations at the chop house february 10th at 6:45pm
Mark your calendar and ensure lilly pad and kids are covered.
love you"

I can help out if ya need me! :agree

We've never celebrated Valentines. I'm not really big on holidays either so I'm alright with it. I would much prefer DH to make a big deal out of my birthday or Mother's Day.

LeeAndra - We thought about driving down there for some of the pre-game festivities, but I don't know if I want to be bumping into a bunch of people w/my big belly. :giggle I'm just thinking it's going to be too much of a party for me right now.

woohoo lucky you Laura! Enjoy!

We don't do Valentine's Day guff, it's just a big commercialised day great for mushy teenagers :giggle

Laure, you are a one lucky girl!
Nope...no celebration at our house. My 7 year old is excited though.

My hubby won't do Valentine's Day. He says it was created by the card companies to sell cards. One year he bought me a beautiful pair of earrings a week before Valentine's Day and made a point of making sure I understood they were not a Valentine's Day gift. He said you shouldn't need a day to celebrate love, but it should be shown everyday. Yup, I married the right guy : )

Have a romantic time.....

Not really. We usually do cards. My birthday is a week later, so I usually give him a "pass" on valentine's day!

Meh. We don't do much in the way of Valentine's day. Cards maybe. Sometimes dinner. Well before Bugga, that was. Now, we may have a yummier dinner than usual at home. I make handmade cards and such. And I have had fun with Bugga and Valentine's. I admit I do like the sentiment of the ooey gooeyness and the general effort a lot of people make to be sweet and affirming when they may otherwise lose that a bit in the hustle and bustle. But it's not a big deal to us. At.all.

I LOVE valentines day!!! Our anniversary is in March and so I always want to do something big in between. This year I booked an adorable little bed n breakfast. I can't wait!!!

We usually don't do much of anything. DH is not a big one for romance. Last year, I got him a George Foreman grill and I don't think he got me anything. Our anniversary is January 16th, which is close to Christmas, yadda yadda... so it is like too many holidays bunched up together with expectations. Ugh.

I have no man to celebrate at the moment (and don´t want one at the moment LOL), but I don´t think, that this is an important holiday to me.
