Dentist

I'm very regular about going to the dentist, every 6 months. (Quite the opposite with doctor visits!) I've never had laughing gas. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
Thank you. I forget to schedule regular doctor visits and eye doctor visits but always keep regular dentist visits.

How often do you go to the dentist? Twice a year except when I have an issue like in November/December last year. I needed a crown and to fix my veneers, so it was quite a lot of visits. When I was having the initial work done, I chose sedation, where a nurse comes in and monitors. Very nice experience. Most of the work did not require any anesthesia.
Have you ever had laughing gas? No.
How does it make you feel? I don't think I want to know now!
Sorry to scare you away from the gas. I wonder if it’s because I didn’t eat enough before the visit. I’m glad your sedation went well.

That stinks that you've had dizziness and nausea after your visit, big hugs!! I've been lucky and always had the nitrous oxide wear off within minutes, with no ill effects. I go in for semi-annual cleanings. I haven't needed much dental work - the last major work I had was to repair a cracked a molar that formed after I bit down on a raw rice grain when I was eating in a restaurant.

Oh man! I'm sorry the gas made you feel so off Monica! I hope it's worn off now and you're back to normal again. That's such a bummer when it's supposed to help relax you and then had such a yucky side effect!

I go to the dentist every size months because that's what my insurance covers.
I don't think I've ever had the laughing gas, unless I did when I had my wisdom teeth out? If so, it didn't have any side effects for me.

Thank you Sheri. I’m glad you’ve had no ill effects.

I can’t remember what I did when I had my wisdom teeth removed. DH said I did the gas.

How often do you go to the dentist? About every 6 months or so for a cleaning and once a year for the dentist's visit.

Have you ever had laughing gas? Never. And now I'm glad based on some of the answers here! :)

Good job going in regularly. It seems like the gas goes both ways so I’m really curious why.

How often do you go to the dentist?
Twice a year.
Have you ever had laughing gas?
Yes, but not at the dentist's, though. That was nearly 27 years ago during labour.
How does it make you feel?
Not as good as I hoped I would feel. I felt nauseous, and thought I was better off without it.

How often do you go to the dentist?
Not often enough! I had a horrible experience as a kid (there was a dental clinic on site at school) so haven't been since. I'm overdue though and not looking forward to it.

It sounds like your reaction to the gas was similar to mine. I’ve also felt nauseous during labor; it’s the worst!

I’m so sorry you had a horrible experience as a kid. That’s rough! I hope your next experience goes better.

How often do you go to the dentist?
3x/week for work! Lol Im a hygienist. I try to have a coworker clean my teeth every 4-5 months because I like it. I know Im weird!

Have you ever had laughing gas?
Yes but I dot like the floaty feeling. They probably had ut up too high for you. I try to start it low & slowly titrate it up since im scared to death of making someone puke in my operatory!

How does it make you feel? Well going to the dentist & working 3 days/ week makes my back/shoulder hurt. Ha!

How often do you go to the dentist? Every 6 months. There was a time when I didn't go regularly and it caught up to me. Lots of pain and many dollars later I'll never put it off again!
Have you ever had laughing gas? Yes
How does it make you feel? Absolutely no different - to the point I was wondering if I was conned into paying for regular air! Lol...

I’m with you and love regular cleanings. They make my teeth feel so good! Good to know about starting low. If I try the gas again I’ll ask for that.

That’s crazy the gas was no different for you! Definitely conned!
