Aside from holiday decorating, do you change your home décor every once in awhile? Move your furniture around? If/when you change it, do you do it on your own or do you ask for input/help from your significant other? Are you totally in sync with the others in your house about the look or decorating? Do you do something annually? Semi-annually? Never?

My hubby usually is on board with whatever, but lately, he's been totally grumpy about things. We had to get rid of our big sectional couch because it was poorly made and it has deteriorated. Our house was built in the 1890s, so the doors are small compared to the standards of today and everything else is sort of wonky too. We can't get a normal sized sofa in the house, so we had to opt for a loveseat and some chairs. But now that means we have to relocate the tv to the other wall. There seriously is no other option. So now he's all frustrated even though it really isn't my fault. :tantrum

What about you? What is your décor routine/schedule?

Any time we're feeling a change is necessary, we discuss it. He doesn't typically like to move things around because he's generally in charge of moving things around :giggle

Little things like holiday decor, he doesn't really care what I do. :)

I am crazed woman with rearranging, although I am lots better.
We change rooms just because it sounds like a good way to spend the day.
My husband has come home to have the dining room relocated to back patio, I have two living rooms, and I swap them out, to be different functions, sometimes one is an office, other times a game room, a grown up only sitting room...and I will paint walls just because my brain needs color.
The only thing that doesn't move..stove, sink and toilets! lol
I am one of those weird cleaning people, and I like the baseboards, walls and everything to get a deep clean, so I do that and rearrange at the same time. I used to be able to do the whole house in a day, but now, I get worn out faster!
Christmas...lol, it explodes inside our house! EXPlodes!! It is in every nook and cranny!
my husband laughs and looks for his recliner...sits and smiles and tells me yet again, I am insane!

I love decorating. My husband laughs because I have rotating area rugs and pillows for pretty much each season, which is so beyond his manly comprehension. ;) I just love how they can change the feel of the house.

I love to rearrange and mix things up from time to time. I would rearrange furniture once a month if I could, but unfortunately, my house is small and things can only go in certain places. So I change up the stuff in the rooms to change the feel. No one else in my house really cares (except my oldest, who thinks everything needs to stay the way it was 20 years ago lol), they are just like "mom's at it again".

I have completed some schooling on interior design. Technically I could be hired as an interior decorater, because I have a "certificate" telling me so.

....I wouldn't recommend it.... :giggle the main thing I remember of my schooling is the 6 principles of design, and the different color combinations, because I took those classes twice. Lol!

My significant other hates change of any kind. Whenever I suggest moving things around he immediately says just leave it the way it is. Paint colours too. So I get one of my sons to help me or do it myself. Then he comes home and pretty much likes it. Strange, but I like to mix thing up and freshen the look.

Single lady here so I'm totes in charge of these things and I do! I love decorating for the seasons and holidays. I don't live large enough to move furniture around but if I could I totally would.

My mom was always moving around stuff. I clearly remember coming home from school and the whole living room was different. I don't like these unexpected changes but my dad didn't care one bit and let my mom do whatever she wanted. He's still like that, they're moving into an apartment at the beginning of hte new year and they have been shopping around for a bit already. He's okay with mostly everything my mom wants. Don't think he's sad and never listened to: their Christmas tree is decorated in red and gold because that's what my dad thinks are the real Christmas colours and my mom wanted him to have some say in things.

I love to decorate, but because of my back pain, I am out of the moving business. I do move the "smalls" ~ all the bits and pieces around. Also, our house is small so really there are only a couple of configurations anyway. Furniture usually gets moved at Christmas to accommodate the tree. Hubby is usually on board with helping me, but there are the occasional times that he just balks at it. I don't blame him, especially if he had in his mind something else he was going to do with his time.

I don't really decorate for holidays except for Christmas, and a wee bit for fall (as far as themed decorations). The rest of the stuff will have a lighter or darker feel, depending on the season.
