Happy December!! It sure seems like 2024 went by in a blink!

Both of my youngest granddaughters have birthdays before Christmas. One is on Dec 5th and one is on Dec 13th. My youngest son bought me tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Thursday as an early Christmas gift and I'm super excited for that! I've wanted to see them for years. I hope we get to go check out a Christmas lights display one night as well. Other than that, I need to get myself in gear and get the shopping and wrapping done!

Other than Christmas, do you have any special things going on in December?
Are you doing any traveling?
Any other things happening?

We have my son's birthday in early December, but he won't be home for it this year. I'm looking forward to both him and his older sister coming home for the holidays.
All our December plans have been cancelled. A car crashed into the community part of our church building causing structural damage. That 1/2 of the building and the car park have been closed by health and safety. So all community activities including the Christmas street party which is held in the car park every year, the Christmas lunch, parties, puppet shows, school nativity experience days, Christmas craft clubs etc are all cancelled. So not really sure what our new plans as a family or a community are going to be.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry about the damage to your church! I hope that you and your community are able to create some beautiful new activities!

Jan, how wonderful for you to get to see Trans Siberian Orchestra! I would love to see them too, but I doubt they will ever play in our area.
We have our youngest granddaughter's birthday on the 16th, then we may attend the Christmas light-up and some Christmas markets next weekend. The tree has gone up today. I'm mostly finished my Christmas shopping but don't have anything wrapped yet. Thankfully, no travelling for us at Christmas, although we are off to Mexico at the beginning of January.

Nothing real exciting here. I put out decorations today. Much easier than last year!

I hope to go to lunch sometime this month with a classmate I reconnected with on my bus trip in October. Need to see what we can come up with. No shopping to do here so no stress there. Should have my yearly appointment with my financial advisor to go over things for 2025. Peyton does get a bath and haircut this week. She'll be able to see again!

Otherwise, I hope to do a bunch of scrapping and a few jigsaw puzzles. Scrapped my November monthly layout today and finished a puzzle. Just put the edges together on another and thinking of my dad while doing it (he loved puzzles) on what would have been his 95th birthday today. I normally go to the cemetery but 20 degrees is too cold to be out!

Not festive related as of now. We might go and see my grandmother just before Christmas but nothing set in stone yet.

Are you doing any traveling?
Not as of now but am hopeful that I might be. If everything goes to plan, am hoping I'll be going away for a job interview/mini vacation

Any other things happening?
Just a video job screen in the next 48 hours with hopefully an in person interview to follow.

How awful. I hope some alternate activities can be arrange elsewhere.

Let's see, this month we're celebrating my father's 96th b'day with a family party. I'm going with a friend to see "White Christmas" on the big screen in a local movie theater, and am going with friends to see "& Juliet" at the Kennedy Center.

No traveling this month, although I am headed to Walt Disney World at the end of December.

That's so fun that you got concert tickets early! Hope it's a great show! I've always thought it would be amazing to see them live too!

Other than Christmas, we don't have much extra in December. My one nephew's birthday is also on Christmas day, so we do two parties on one day! I did quite a bit of my shopping this last week, so I'm doing pretty well there.

I'm super excited. I've been trying to get to a show for so many years!
My granddaughters' birthdays are the 5th and 13th, and I wish I was mostly done shopping lol
Mexico sounds amazing!!

Sounds like a lovely December!

Good for you getting a lot of the shopping done. I've barely scratched the surface!
