Its December!!! Can you believe how fast the year has flown by. This month for the hybrid challenge, I am challenging you to make a holiday project in non traditional holiday colors. In our house we celebrate Christmas so in my example I would not use red or green. I am going one step further this year for December daily and challenging myself to use no color. That's right, it's all black and white. Feel free to use color just not whatever screams traditional to you. Here is my take on the project. Im prepping for December daily so I made a tag for my page about my daughters winter concert. Its her first one and we are really excited. I used the following collections All the Joys Stamps https://the-lilypad.com/store/All-the-Little-Joys-Inky-Stamps.html Sweet December Stories Pocket Cards https://the-lilypad.com/store/Sweet-December-Stories-Pocket-Art-Cards.html Collage skinnies https://the-lilypad.com/store/Print-Cut-and-Create-Collaged-Skinnies-03.html I love the look of the papers on top and under the vellum. I also loved the ease of using these collaged papers without having to get dirty. If you are inspired to make a non traditional colored project we will enter you into a drawing for a $5 coupon to @Rachel Jefferies store. Here's the official rules: Create a project, any project in colors that are non traditional for the holiday you are documenting. Any holiday during the year goes. Okay this is a cool challenge and one that requires me to put on my thinking cap! I love it and will be back. I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with!
Argh...it's december already. Where has November gone? It's like that month went by in a week. Wonderful tag, it looks stunning in black and white. I am all for working with non traditional colours. No red and green for me this year, thinking about pinks and purples.
I went with silver and black for one of my Christmas cards this year using Chalky Christmas by NBK Design. This was a fun challenge @er_creates. It really made me think which I appreciate!
Here's mine! It was very hard for me to avoid red and green haha I went with pink cardstock and b&w elements (they printed green-ish much to my dismay...):
My first thought was to use pink, but when I saw the beautiful kits by Rachel Etrog and Rachel Jefferies I had to use teal. These gift bags are filled with some nice tea flavours and fortune cookies.
I made four 3x3 notecards with Allison Pennington's Unwrap the Magic kit. I love pink and yellow together!
These are beautiful. I love the idea of a little treat bag and your embellishments are perfect. Happy new year.
