I read these books last week and now I'm reading some Jane Austen classics to restore my equilibrium. :giggle

Anyone else read these?

a friend just asked me if I've read them yet. No...I don't have them and I'm a bit afraid to buy them for my kindle, since my dh and I share an account, so these will show up in his list too! He makes fun of me enough because of the Black Dagger Brotherhood ones.

:giggle Too funny Debra!

I've been hearing about them quite a bit over the last month and then saw an interview with the author this morning on the Today show. When I looked them up on Amazon and read the descriptions, I was a bit ewwwww. Are they as skeevy as they sound? LOL

O they look good. I will have to go back to B and N tommorrow and buy the first one and let you know how it is LOL i love trying new books that seem to tread on being um ya know

Yep that's them Carly.

They certainly aren't literary works of art. They were originally written as Twilight fan fiction. So the 'love story' is modeled after that but there are no vampires or werewolves or anything of the supernatural sort. I don't think the woman who wrote them has any experience writing anything but maybe I'm wrong.

They weren't bad. I was expecting worse! ha ha ha Or maybe I was a bit desensitized by them. Definitely a lot of sex and some naughty stuff. There was almost too much - I was getting sick of it in some parts. There is a storyline beyond the sex stuff.

I wouldn't want any pre-teen or teenage kiddos getting a hold of it.

i read them the last month - they were definitely a quick, good (albeit super trashy) read - lots and lots and lots of sex - even more than BDB (especially the first book i think ) ... the books did make me laugh sometimes though b/c the characters are supposed to be so young and then end up running companies and stuff.

i had to read some hemingway after reading these to make me feel better about myself - haha - like to reassure myself that i could still enjoy "real" literature.

idk i like all books. its one of the awesome things about reading. its a huge world out there and i love to escape into it all. cep historical crap lol. i do not look good in a full skirt

I get tired of them if there is too much sex in them. The BDB ones got old really fast and I found I was just skimming through it quickly during those parts. I'm far from being a prude, but it was just too much sometimes.

I've got quite a list of books going that I want to read first...so I'm not sure if I'll get to these anytime soon.

so far BDB doesnt have enough sex in them for me LOL so many people are saying there is to much and im like where? are we reading the same books? LOL. that is why i bought every single book.
there is sex but not as much as people keep saying they have. so i guess its how much is to much to you im guessing. I just dont see it.
AKA KIM LOL who says it had ALOT LOL

My friend borrowed my Nook for her vacation and downloaded them, so I will probably have a look when she gives it back.

not that it was too much, it just got old for me and I just skimmed quickly to get back to the story line. Sometimes it works for me...other times it's just a bother that they stick it in.

I have noticed that the " story" changed way to much in that series.

My whole mom's group all read them. Many say they jumpstart their sex drive. lol. I bought it for kindle because they were all abuzz about it, but have not started reading it yet. Been sitting there for 2 weeks. lol. There are 3 in the series. They are supposed to make a movie but not sure how that will work due to the subject matter.

Compared to your YA novels, BDB is full of sex. lol. So are the Highlander books. Just wanted to make sure you knew that before reading them. Patti told you too. So now we know Carly wants porn books. Maybe you need to read 50 shades then...lol....

Woman i have books that would make you clutch pearls LOL
I read the YA for the drama hahaha
Im glad you turned me onto them though ( BDB). they do have some good naughty moments. i just want more LOL
