Curly girl! Have you heard of it??

totally unrelated...but we have a cat that steals our ponytails. the cat knows we put them on bathroom counters or on my nightstand, she picks them up in her mouth and runs off with them. So my poor daughter and I have to go looking all over the floor and under living room furniture to find them, lol!!

One of my cats does the same! I find them under the furniture and stove or inside the closets where they've gone under the door!
 
I've been wanting to try this method but haven't yet. I did switch from using towels a couple years ago & use a t-shirt or microfiber head towel. I'm more in the middle with "wavy-hair" and just haven't done the switch yet to try this since I don't want to buy the wrong things. Also I suck a styling, lol!

Elisa, did you notice a difference when switching to the t-shirt/microfiber towel? I haven't done that yet, still dealing with my transition period which isn't pretty... I am going to see if Suave Naturals is a better conditioner option for me. The one I picked up in the health food store I'm not particularly thrilled with. And my styling consists of combing my hair after I wash it. LOL.

Definitely less frizzy than I was. That was pretty much a quick result. And I don't feel bad leaving my hair wrapped up longer since it's lighter too.

And yes that's my styling too, comb & go. Or straight into a pony tail which is so damaging to my hair & I think contributes to headaches. I'm just lazy with it myself & need to make it a priority.
 
I'm going to Walgreen's today. I bought some Daily Defense Coconut Oil Conditioner yesterday at the Dollar Tree. It says "no sulfates", but I think there are some additional "no no's" however, the ingredient list is so tiny that I couldn't read it. I also bought Salon Selective sulfate free gel. For a dollar each, I figured I'd try them. I'll let you all know how they work.

@mcurtt Marilyn, what is "transition". You said you were going through it. I saw it on one of the videos, but don't seem to understand it.
 
@Cherylndesigns My hair isn't the same, feels dirty rather than clean. My scalp is also itchy. I've never had that before. It may be my fault, not rinsing enough. My hair looks darker than normal, which isn't a deal-breaker for me. I did wash it yesterday, rinsed and then rinsed and then rinsed some more, and some of the issues I had seem to be subsiding. I'm going to persevere, will continue on with it for another week or two before I negate it. I've also yet to see an increase in the curl, aside from a strange wave in the front on the right side.

Thanks for clarifying, Marilyn. I've watched so many videos that I think I'm thoroughly confused. So, I have a function tomorrow night and tomorrow is hair wash day. I think I'll do my normal shampoo/rinse/products just in case. :hehe
