Costume Trauma!!

The thought of what will be popular when Moo is a tween/teen scares the heck out of me!

Yes! The thought of fighting with Ellie (because everything is her way or the highway...) about what she will wear as a tween/teen scares me. Any possibility of turtlenecks coming back around...?

You can dream... :)

I made Madilyn (12) wear a boys ninja costume. Made is kind of strong...she was actually pretty excited...although I did have to sell it a bit. :)

OH my gosh - some girl in my son's class today (6th graders) was wearing a slutty nurse costume - not only that, but she tucked the bottom the skirt under to make it even shorter. One of the other moms and I were outside talking about how awful her costume was when she walked by and we notice that she had a DOLLAR BILL stuck in the dress over her b%b! WHAT!!!!!!!! I could NOT not not believe it.

*thunk* That was me hitting.the.floor. I can't believe it either. ugh. *speechless*

oh my gosh karah. what MOTHER in her right mind would let her daughter walk out of the house like that.
i remember my older sister sneaking extra eyeliner on at the bus stop.
and i remember thinkin, she is going to get in SO MUCH TROUBLE!!!!
i was too terrified of my parents to ever try to pull off any of that crap.

kids nowadays, have no fear.
i can see why all the schools here in town do not allow kids to dress up during halloween.
and frankly, i'm glad.

omg...my dd is only 7 and i got her a costume from old navy. I never visit the specialty halloween costume stores. I'm sure that'll change as she grows older. I wonder if the parents say anything to the kids who dress up like that.

oh my - that is just awful karah! i'm glad that my girls are still young enough that they want to be pretty princesses ... my oldest is actually going as hermione this year - so she's really covered!

Oh honey....I totally feel your pain!! As you know, Isabella is also 13 and when we went into the Halloween shop my jaw dropped! Really? We too, went last minute because she got invited to a party (which is tonight). We ended up deciding she would be a hippie. She tie dyed a tshirt and we made a headband and she will wear jeans and hippie glasses.

Laura, I feel you. We went shopping a couple weeks back and wanted to find a cute cheerleader costume for Mysty *she's 8* she wanted to be a cheerleader zombie, yeah that didn't happen everything was too short and very too provocative for a little girl to wear. She ended up finding a cute cowboy hat (white with sequins) and wanted to be a cowgirl instead thank god!
