So... this is the color...Pantone Color of the Year!

    Thoughts?

I'm not a peach person, lol! Not usually my color. I do like pale pink, rather than peach. I'm weird, maybe. :giggle Who the heck and I kidding, I am, definitely! haha!

I’m not a fan of peach. I had to wear a peach dress for my brother’s wedding and it was not a flattering color.

When I was little, Mum made all our clothes and my older sister got the pinks and I got the peaches & apricots which never pleased me ever!!! But later I “had my colours” done and it turned out that those were actually my colours. I’m a Spring colouring so these are perfect for me. So now peach is a regular feature in my wardrobe and I always feel on top of the world when I wear it. Not sure I’d paint my house in it though.

Ha! I don't think I have any peach clothes and I wouldn't paint my house peach. No thanks!

@umyesh Wearing a dress for a wedding in not a flattering color reminds me of Sixteen Candles. I don't remember clearly, by I don't think she liked the dress. Or maybe it was the flower crown. lol!

I don't wear peach (@G.T. , though I've never "had my colours" done, I'm pretty sure I'm a Summer), and I wouldn't paint a room in this shade.

I do think this is a pretty colour, but it's just not for me.

I am not a lover of peach colour. Our last home had walls sort of peachy but very pale. The only reason we chose to paint them that colour was to go with the tiles on the floors and the colours in the kitchen bench tops.

Nope. Don't like peach. It's like it can't decide to be soft pastelly or bright orangy & ends up just an in-between bleh. Don't know why, I love orange and every shade of pink, but peach is just in-between somehow.

I like it! Not to wear... I think peach only looks good on dark/warm skin tones. But it's soft, elegant, and earthy at the same time. But I love all colors - I don't think they could ever pick one I wouldn't like!

I like it as a colour, but wouldn't wear it or paint my house in it.

Nice color but not to wear it, or paint the walls of the house. The whole furniture and couch are white in our house, so maybe I will just add a couple of sofa cushions and would be enough to be in, lol.

If this is the next big colour in home textiles & fashion, it's a good reminder that following trends isn't always a good idea. (I need to go read their blurb but I'm disappointed in pantone this year/next year but wouldn't be the first time) ETA: I do like peaches to eat but that's about as far as it goes, more pinky corals & less peachy tones for me too thanks )

So it says on their website...
meant to embody "our desire to nurture ourselves and others." The hue is "a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body and soul," according to Pantone.

"In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.'...

I disagree with enriching & modern elegance. It feels 80's to me & I can see it as a fluffy jumper/knitted sweater on a Great Aunt with matching nails & metallic or frosted lipstick & a perm at some family gathering more than anything else- maybe TMI or weird but still feeling I will pass on peach fuzz, can't believe I'm saying it but bring on 2025!

Ha ha Justine! The fluffy jumper from Great Auntie is me! :rofl I like the color and I'd wear it! I always love spring colors better than fall muted colors. I would not go so far as to paint a room in that color, but otherwise I like it. So for once the color of the year is one I like! :giggle

@bellbird you made me laugh! I can see your description of this Great auntie!!!

I like the color, but I don't think it works for my skin tone, I do have a few shirts in orange, though. and I really don't feel like painting my walls with this color!!

I am underwhelmed by this color, but every year the color they pick grows on me and by May I'm liking it

Not my favouritest colour to choose... but I will admit we have had walls painted this colour ... did make the room feel warmer.

Having read the blurb from pantone I must say that looking at the colour does not make me feel warm and fuzzzy or connected to people or youthful... I almost want to run away than hug the colour. Funny how we all react so differently to colours.

It's definitely not an easy colour to scrap with.
