*CLOSED* TLP Artist Trading Card Swap 001

Can we use the print at Staples option even if we live in the US? (I'm horrible at getting things mailed on time!) If yes, how complicated is the printing double-sided?

*Haven't purchased/signed up yet. Still contemplating.
 
This sounds so exciting and I really want to have a good but this month might be a stretch for me as I have soooo much on in RL BUT I am going to be keeping an eye out here and see how it all works and might have to jump in for next month xx
 
I think it sounds fabulous as well but RL for me at the moment is pretty stressful so not actually participating this month. I will be doing digi though :giggle and thanks Jennifer for organising all of this!!! :notworthy

Sure you can. Re: double sided. It wouldn't be that difficult. You would have the option when you check out and as long as you use the template (or make them EXACTLY the same), the front and back should line up fine. If you decide to do it (which I hope you do), I'll walk you though the ordering.

Sorry, now I'm confused. One card? Or one page? I was doing nine to fill the template.

Yes, 9 cards fill the template, but you only have to create one and repeat it 9 times :). Now, if you WANT to create all different ones, I'll just divide them up and everyone will get a different one. That's OK, but not necessary.

So each participant will design/create one and make 9 (or however many end up signing up) copies of that same one... Make sense?

I'm getting excited. Come on, y'all! It's the 1st one EVER. Monumental. These are like collection cards... don't miss out on our inaugural swap!
 
jenevang you may already know this but your list of traders is missing a #5 -- didn't know if it was intentional or not.
 
also a little help. I haven't done much with photoshop (actually paintshop pro) except photo editing and templates. So when I go to start making an artist trading card do I set my canvas to the 2x3" or what's the best way to start?

That is certainly one way to do it. Just set canvas to 2.5 x 3.5 inches and create your card. Then you can flatten it and clip it repeatedly to the template for printing :)
 
I should confess, I wasn't looking at the numbers and counted the names and it didn't match. Then I noticed the numbers. I have to get adventurous soon and try my first card. Fun.
 
Hi! I'm in, just paid. Mine will be mixed media/digital, so I will need a mailing address. I just started making ATCs this year; it has been loads of fun. Looking forward to receiving these little works of art.

Two more days to sign up! Anyone on the fence? Just do it. It'll be SO FUN.

I have purchased my trading card page protectors (Staples) and a special binder just for this... can't wait to decorate the cover!
