Not sure how "artsy" this panel is but I did follow the instructions.
Creating these skinnys was a lot of fun and went against all my "planning" instincts to have everything coordinating and "flowing" -- Oh, Anne, you were always throwing us a curve that sent my plans off into neverland! Got a lot of loosing up to do as I learn to enjoy playing.
So, so much FUN!! I used more warm colors in the 2nd and 3rd skinnies so I went back to the cool colors for the 4th. I put a warm colored flower in the skinny and I extracted a sunflower and made it black and white for the challenge. Hope I met the requirements.
I think my first three sections were mostly warm colors so I used blue and green in my last section. I used orange glitter dots for my one opposite element. Thanks for the challenge. It was fun to play!
My 2nd skinny for February (the first is here). There are a few hours left until @AnneofAlamo drinks her morning coffee on March 1st ... Maybe I'll do another skinny! LOL!
Not sure if I will finish on time as I have had work overload these past 10 days or so but....it's been fun and I love being pushed and directed outside my comfort zone so this is awesome for me even if I'm late which makes my heart lurch and catch my breath for a second b/c I hate to be late for stuff LOL. If I don't get a chance to comment on them all, I just want to say, well done...everyone! I love how different they all are.
I didn't know if I'd get it done on time, but I did... YAY! I probably won't get the inchies started and finished today, but I had fun with the AJ challenges this month. Anne thanks so much for encouraging us in art journaling and creating a fun, friendly environment for us to experiment.
I turned my photo b&w and then used the overlay blending mode and a layer mask with a soft brush to blend it into the background.
