Welcome to day 4 of MOC 13.
I am hoping that today's challenge is going to get those creative juices flowing! I am sure many of you have heard the saying "Don’t judge a book by its cover." Basically what this phrase means is that you shouldn’t judge something or someone solely on its appearance. We are going to apply this to the world of scrapbooking, in particular themed scrapbooking collections. Have you ever bought a super cute birthday kit, made your birthday party layout and then never used it again? Or how about all those Document Your December collections? Today’s challenge is to get one of your themed kits and create a layout that is off theme. This is a great way to use things in your stash that you may have only used once and forgotten.
For my layout I used Spooky by Joyce Paul Designs. By all accounts it definitely is a Halloween kit, but I created a heritage page of my husband’s grandparents. I did lighten the background paper a little bit by changing the opacity of it. And I also recolored the roses. For your layouts feel free to recolor elements if you would like.
Here is a layout from @EllenT using a Christmas collection, Holly by Just Jaimee and Anita Designs. What an adorable page!

THE RULES FOR THIS CHALLENGE
- Create an off themed layout based on a theme specific kit or collection.
- Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places:
1. Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site).
2. Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean.
3. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish.
- Your page must contain Lilypad product (pages with photos and font only do not count). Product from other stores will not be allowed for MOC; your pages must contain 100% Lilypad product (current or retired product from designers or guest designers presently selling at The Lilypad).
Please use the Copy GALLERY BB code found on the right side of the gallery when posting your pages to the MOC Layouts Folder thread and to this challenge thread.
