It's definitely the kids that leave the clutter and messes in my van. We just finished soccer season last weekend, so at the end of the weekend I removed the soccer debris (soccer balls, extra shin guards and cleats, chairs, blankets, hats, mittens, rain gear, etc) I also made them take a bag into the back seat and remove all empty water bottles and food wrappers. I'm pretty good about the middle row because I see that when I get out, but the back row is no-man's land! I need to get the shop vac out this weekend and removed the debris on the floor and then I'll have a fresh slate for the beach this summer! I'll replace the grass and mud clumps for sand!
My first response upon reading the thread title was to laugh. Lol clean car, hahaha. I clean the car and it lasts until the next car ride. Hubby is the worst. It's June and I finally got him to bring in his winter boots! Maybe in 20 years when the kids move out and the hubby retires.
When I lost my ability to drive (I can now again as long as it's SHORT distances..) my car was cleaned out pretty well.. and since I drive like.. a mile every three months, it's stayed clean. lol. Before then... I was like you. Lots of mess and no patience to clean it out.
funny you posting this, we said with Sarita yesterday we NEED to send it for a full valet.... I haven't been using the car much (so not that we had to get a new battery!!) but it is in so poorly state, we do recycling and because Sarita has huge clothes bags in the boot to send to a charity shop but (as she STILL doesn't have a license!!!) we haven't gotten around dropping them, so my carer puts the recycling in the back sit..... I have the wheelchair now so things are getting to a terrible point, thanks for posting this, I am adding the car cleaning thing to my list!!!!!!
