So it's here. Christmas Day. I enjoyed tracking Santa via Google last night as they showed his sleigh tracking across the globe per time zone.
Is there anything that you have to do on Christmas Day? A tradition or something special that without that one thing it would just not feel like Christmas?
For 33 years we did a roast gammon (ham) and trifle for lunch on Christmas Day. Through highs and lows, in-laws being outlaws etc. This year the kids decided to visit family that were sick just days ago, that declined to get covid tested but are "all better now", for lunch today. * and then sleep away from home for a few days. So we celebrated last night in a more German tradition and I am fine. I think this pandemic has changed the way many folk do things, same/different.
I watched a movie that had this quote: Traditions are stories that families write together. I have to use it on my scrapbook page. I love being the story teller, memory keeper, documenter. I love celebrating all the things I am thankful for. My faith and my family.
