Journaling reads:
I love Mexican food. I prefer to grab a bite at
a local mom and pop where the food is more
authentic, but in a pinch, even Taco Bell will do.
Matt knows if he doesn't choose a place for
dinner, I'll always pick something Mexican!

Journaling reads:
You are such a silly girl. You love to "help" me
around the house. You follow me around and run
ahead, just in case I forget where I'm going.
Your favorite job to supervise is making the bed.
You love rolling around on the bed and getting
belly rubs. You also like attacking fingers and
toes if they happen to be underneath the blankets.
You are a great helper and you make me laugh.

Journaling reads:
As you read this, my hope is that life has given you more laughter than pain. The road to this point in life was not easy and at times, more difficult than we imagined. But, we endured. We were strong and fought to get to the place you're at right now. Do not forget that you made it. You survived and made some good memories. I hope when you read this, you have made progress towards your goals for better health and happiness. Remember the day you started and don't forget how far you've come because it reminds us that we can do almost anything we set our mind to. I hope you have found that fearless spirit again and you're making life yours. If not, what are you waiting for? You need to do it now. If you have, know I'm proud of you. Wherever life has taken you, you are alive. We know better than to take that for granted. Celebrate every possible moment.

Journaling reads:
We hadn't been back in NY very long before the eclipse. We weren't in the direct path, but hoped to see a little action. Because we only live a few minutes from Lake Ontario, we decided to drive over to Irondequoit Bay to enjoy the view even if we didn't see much of the eclipse. There were people on both sides of the Bay when we arrived, but fewer on our side, which made for easy unrestricted movement to take photos! There were several people out on water craft in the Bay and on the Lake and Beaches and it was great to see people enjoying this once in a lifetime event. We didn't get to see much of an eclipse, but we had fun taking photos of the moon's reflection in our glasses and in the sky. It was a perfect summer day and we enjoyed our time near the water even without seeing the darkness pass over the sun. August 21, 2017
