In the whirlwind of MOC, what things have you let slide or are you catching up on?

Today for me I'm blasting Vivaldi over the top of washing machine, lawnmower and cicada background noise and am catching up on other parts of the Pad like topics here in the Chatty Pad (i have some laundry to catch up on too)
(And Happy Australia Day to the Aussies enjoying this public holiday/long weekend here too)

Mostly my hair. ROFL. AA hair we don't wash everyday, but usually about once a week or once every two weeks, but it's been about 4 for me. Luckily I don't sweat alot so it's pretty clean still, but the product build up is there. LOL

I was just thinking about how I waited 2 more days to deep-clean the bathrooms cuz I was having too much fun with MOC to clean on schedule. (I have wiped down and/or bleached surfaces every day but I needed to really scrub shower floor and grout, etc.) Anyway, no one complained so no biggie. :) At night my DH has started to ask "so, are we hanging out or do you have MOC stuff to do? Or, is it stupid to ask?" So glad he knows my priority is MOC rofl!

Nothing really, which is one of the bennies of retirement! Unless the challenge is as difficult as today's (Doll) was, it's just a normal day of scrapping for me. I usually do a page a day as I have several lifetimes of stories to tell. (Dream on Maureen!)

I need to catch up on some laundry, mostly putting some things away.... and maybe communicate with the other people that live in this house for a bit :giggle.

I definitely will need to do some cleaning around the house after MOC is over. I've skimmed the surfaces and the kitchen is always kept clean, but the dust and clutter is starting to form in certain places. Lol.

I also haven't touched my paint brushes all month, so I'm feeling the pull to get painty soon too!

Let's see, I finally gathered up the library books, and had DH return them Wednesday. Well, I missed renewing one - so $1.25 fine! Argh.
I sorta kinda switched the stuff on the bookcase upstairs and downstairs. Which means, as I've needed it, I've brought stuff down, and taken stuff up. The up stuff is on the floor until MOC is over!
There are a few too many boxes being creatively used by the child (tent, store stuff like rocks). Those usually are allowed for 1-2 weeks before out the door....I'll need to take care of that next week!
So many clutter spots have been discovered over this month! They all need to go next month.
Reading. I haven't read anything this month. Sigh. Not even the overdue library book!

If I keep looking around, I will find more! So I'm stopping there. That's plenty for now...

Sewing. I purchased a brand new sewing/embroidery machine late December and I haven't had much time to play around with it. I need to use it more so I can compile a list of questions to bring to class - whenever I can get to one. It's killing me, but I need to keep these MOC pages coming.

The laundry and exercising. In the last two days, I've done 9 loads of laundry. As soon as I finish scanning in this old photo book for my hubby, I PROMISE I am going to walk!

I really wish I could report in with a list of what I've been letting slide, but it's been MOC layouts that I have put on hold to keep up with real life. :cry I need to get my priorities straight--next year, I need to arrange a few days off work or line DH up to be on weekend kid duty or something. And I need to be smarter than to schedule DD's birthday party the last weekend of January!

Actually, I've had to let scrapping slide so that I could manage work + childcare + homework + Girl Scout cookies + sleep.

My mom and I are going to a crop tomorrow from 9 am - 9 pm, though, so I will catch up with MOC then! :beat

I haven't been able to let things slide too much because I am the only one who does anything around the house, lol. I have just been doing small amounts here and there, but I haven't been able to scrap nearly as much this year as last year. I think the most I got behind last year was 2 days, and at one point this year I was 8 days behind. Currently only 4 days behind, so yay to catching up, but I have a busy few days ahead, so I need to get as much as I can done today.

@bellbird I did not know you were an Aussie! Aside from @amandac and @KarenW you are the only other Aussie I now know of in the pad. Hope you had a great Aussie Day :)

Em I hate to tell you this but we (Aussies) are slowly taking over the Pad!
Julie @Mother Bear, Kirstie @kirstiegai , Carolyn @Amson, Ona @wombat146, Christie @Chippi and Kate (darn I can't remember her user name of the top of my head sorry).

Hubby and I have spent the Australia Day weekend finishing the painting of our lounge room. It was so hot and humid, and I bent myself into to so many positions to paint, that I feel like I have done three days straight of HOT YOGA!

But I am so happy with how it has turned out now that the furniture is all back in place and I can find my laptop (it was under some drop cloths!)

I am pretty much up to date with MOC and household duties.
TV watching has been at a record low since we got back from overseas and I don't even miss it.
Caught some Netflix shows though.

Maybe we should start an Aussie Roll Call thread find any other Aussies hiding away!!

As for hot and humid. I am with you. Mainlanders always laugh at us Tassie peeps when we complain about the heat, because our really hot day is like 28°c (82°f), lol. And that is an ordinary summer day for most places in Australia! My mum said it was going to get hot a few weeks ago, hot as in 40°c+ (104°f).
I would evaporate.
