I don't know about you, but there's so much candy at my house that we're all in a candy coma. Everywhere I turn there's more candy! I feel like Valentine's Day was more like Halloween! My daughter got asked to prom and he gave her a ton of candy. Then my other daughter got a ton of candy from the Valentine exchange at school. And I bought them some candy for Valentine's Day, so if you need any candy come to my house… Hehe Seriously it feels like a candy store in here. And the worst part is that since I'm the one that's home all day I keep eating it! I think it's time for an intervention and I just need to go around and gather it all up and throw it in the trash! If I don't, it's gonna to end up on my hips!

How about you, is your house over ridden with valentine candy?

I wish...LOL But a friend went to NYC and brought me a box of 6 macarons so I have no complaints! btw, I just..JUST...remembered that I bought us a bag of Lindt truffles and forgot them! We DO have candy and it's a limited amount which is good.

I got a huge heart of chocolates from my FIL ♡ he said it was because I was hid daughter in law and best friend. Sniff sniff, right? I don't eat chocolate but grabbed the 2 caramels before everyone else in the house started diggin in!

Now, I am with @bestcee - give me some gummy bears and it is on like a feed bag!

we were fine ... until late yesterday. when my kids ordered me take them to the store to see what was on sale/leftover. ugh. i got some for myself too - couldn't resist. of course the easter candy was filling up the shelves and the kids were already talking about what they wanted for that too. i'm grateful there's no "candy" holidays after these VDay and Easter. (at least I don't think there is ... is there??? :huh )

We have almost none in the house. Clara had her appendix out on Valentine's Day... so the holiday totally got lost in the chaos we had going on. I bought my husband and kids a small package of Valentine candy each with the intention of adding something else to it... but since I haven't gotten around to that yet, its all still sitting in my nightstand drawer.

Lindt truffles and Macaroons...YUM!

On like a feed Bag! Lol... that totally describes me with all this candy. I'm a caramel girl too. I always grab those out and hand off the rest to the kids. This year my problem has been the rolos, peanut m&ms, and snickers... ugh! Why do things that taste so good have to be so bad for you?

Oh no I forgot about Easter! I love those mini hardshell Cadbury eggs. Must.control.myself... No.more.candy!

Oh no! I hope Clara is healing well?

Halloween is the best candy holiday.

Yes! Like @Danyale said, it's gummies and chocolate right now for me. As in I bought a 5lb bag of the best gummy bears I've had from Amazon a few weeks ago, and am eating them a pound at a time. I may have a secret candy drawer where I'm hiding some chocolate eggs and gummies right now...
My kid got a lot of pencils for Valentine's day which is awesome! Bless those parents hearts.
Easter we do chalk, and bubbles and balls, and maybe a jump rope this year with just a little candy.

Nah... we are pretty good at our place. I bought the boys each a little kinder egg which they devoured in seconds and I bought my hubby a Team Canada Hockey jersey. ;) I got some mini eggs that I'm not sharing though. lol!

Last year, DD's grade wasn't allowed to bring candy to class for Valentine's Day unless you emailed the teacher to get approval (apparently there was a child with uncommon but horrifying allergies). Anyway, this year people made up for the Candy Ban of 2016 by going totally overboard! I think we were the only house to give out non-candy treats (cute little erasers--and that's cuz I was afraid I'd missed the "no candy" memo this year!).
So yeah, we are swimming in candy. It doesn't help that I'm a chocoholic so I have my own stash of goodies. And it also doesn't help that we had 3 bday cakes the week prior to Valentine's... so lots and lots and LOTS of sugar in this house! (Before you ask: No, there are not 3 people in this house with bdays last week. Go figure!)

My kids have always given out toothbrushes & floss for their valentines. My 3rd grader's class had a lot of candy, but the Kindergarteners (I think it's a lot of 1st time parents! ;) ) had mostly pencils, stickers & more prize-like things than candy! The funny thing is that my 3rd grader doesn't like a lot of candy- so she made a keep pile & a toss pile- now if I could only stay out of her toss pile! ;)

Yes, Halloween is the best candy holiday. Megan still has a bag full of candy from Halloween and now another one with Valentine's candy. This morning, I told her to stash it in her room, so I wouldn't be tempted... hehe

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that it was Aspen's birthday last week, so we have cupcakes too... ugh! No wonder, I feel like crap... I've been living on sugar for the past week!

Note to self... buy toothbrushes and floss for next year's Valentine exchange. hehe

Nope, the candy is gone! Now I'm craving more Russell Stovers chocolates, which is what I get every year and have gotten for several decades. My favorites are really Godiva chocolates, but those are so darn pricey! I used to buy them, but ever since I had my son, I've got better things to do with my money.

I'm SO glad I'm through with the classroom valentines!

Tracie, I hope that Clara is healing quickly!

I think this is the first VD ever that I didn't get any candy or chocolate (my choice as I'm on a low carb diet). We never have done gifts but we always did sweets and treats. Seemed weird but I'm ok with it. I didn't want anything that would derail my eating plan right now. But in the past, I often got chocolates or Turtles and we always had the little chocolate balls from Purdy's.

You go girl! I wish I had will power like you. I have a candy stash and a chip stash too! I seriously need an intervention! :helpy:sense LOL

I'm reading the new posts in this thread while drinking hot cocoa with whipped cream on top. And I don't feel guilty cuz I was a good girl and put the Triple Double Oreos back in the pantry that I was also gonna eat. :innocent

I like your way of thinking Sara! :hi5

I drank a glass of milk with that sugar cookie I had for breakfast, so I got my vitamin D and calcium for the day... hehe! :carryon
