This is so exciting! I would be jumping up and down too!
 
Boo to the rain and the roof repairs... that is not fun, but a HUGE Congrats on the new countertops.

@Dalis no lol it is pintrest! lol I do have a 6 burner...lol, and red is my fav! but the yellowish laminate in here is going to be replaced in August! woo hoo

me too...my tummy gets so nervous on making the decision. I told my honey you pick tile for roof, I can't handle it. I know I want gold/silver grays and browns...so just the right pattern is what is causing me strife! but I have white torn with gold flecks (I always think is cheese) now, so I will be grateful for whatever I get.

Don't sweat it.. someone else is doing the work.. you both have worked long and hard for things.. enjoy and pick what you want! I would love to redo my bathroom and have tile in the kitchen and granite counters, but I would rather wait and see what is coming down the pike ... both rooms work fine.. we have that cream laminate counters in the kitchen. We were going to do it years ago but changed our minds. I do that a lot!! Enjoy picking out your new countertops!!
 
Wow, Anne- both the roof and counters-- that is great! We just did our counters- they were green laminate so I went for granite called "galaxy white"- here is how it turned out:
