Most ya'll know I live in the desert! Dry, hot and did I say dry?

Well, we get some rain, it usually comes all on the same day! hahhaha, along with some vicious winds.

They came a few weeks ago, and tore up our roof, we had leaks and it was a mess. This was inconvenient for me, as I was trying to scrap my Week In The Life at the same time..bhahha
anyways, we have saved for a new roof, we knew it was coming soon. A friend at church said, call your insurance. WE did! They said,
WE will replace it! We pay a deductible, which is 10% of what we saved! So hubby says, lets get that granite countertop for kitchen!

Oh yes, you can say WOOOOOOOOT! You deserve it gurl! Besides that's why you pay those insurance premiums!! So happy for you!
 
Wooohoo!! That is awesome - what a windfall!! We're hoping to replace our laminate counters with granite later this year too! I can't wait!

YAY for new granite countertops... AWESOME NEWS! I've been wanting granite for my kitchen too, but something else always comes up that takes the money. My dd says we should just move to a new house and get everything new.... lol

What a great story!!! See, this is why I love the desert! LOL My grandmother ingrained in me as a little girl that the good (and bad) you do in life does come back to you. You are so good you should have great things like this happen all the time. I am so happy for y'all!
