Camera Strap

Congrats on the new camera! We have an Op/Tech strap. You can use it cross body, which is what I also prefer. My issue is that it is a little short for my tall frame, but I'm pretty sure that won't be a problem for anyone else reading this here. ;)

Let us know how you like the camera! I've still got a T1i, and I just started telling DH that it's time for a new camera. I'm hoping to get a new one in August so I have to start complaining/nagging now rotfl.

@Tree City I am absolutely loving my T6i! But, as reference, I came from the Canon Rebel XS.

I love the LCD, and I love that I can move it so we can take selfies, and see them. Being short, I also like being able to use the LCD screen to take a photo from above, and get it framed right. I love the 'kid action' creative thing. It takes burst shots, and helps me get shots of my moving 6 year old much easier! And, this one has the wireless remote feature, I had to use a corded one with the XS. And that's my little review for 10 days old.

I've yet to try out the wi-fi/NFC to send to my phone, but that's coming this week.

@pbrooks I will let you know!

So, I'm off topic here. I just have a point & shoot. But, I was trying to find a nice hard case with a long strap & couldn't find anything I love. I don't feel safe enough with a wrist strap. Putting it in my pocket isn't great either. I want to be able to wear it & have a pocket for memory card/batteries.

I have a Black Rapid Cross body strap but don't use it that much. I don't like the angle at which it hangs because of the tripod mount. I also have a lovely soft camera strap dd bought me on Etsy one year that I use all the time.

You just bought the Elph right? I used to have a hard case, that had a memory card insert and a long strap that attached to the case that fit over my shoulder. I found it at one of the big box stores - either Target or Best Buy or something.

It was similar to this, only blue, and more elongated:

You may be able to find a strap that would connect for pretty cheap! This one is on Amazon, and intended for the Elph.

Yay for your new camera!!!

I use a BlackRapid cross-body strap, and ADORE it! The strap that comes with most DSLRs kills my neck, but I've hiked for miles with the BlackRapid on and barely notice it.
