Today has been busy, busy, busy for me. In fact, the first two weeks of April are always busy for me. We have family birthdays, Spring Break, church conferences and more so I’m looking forward to a break after this week.

How about you? Have you been busy or chill this April? What’s the busiest time of year for you? If you’re busy like me, good luck! ;)

April is ridiculously busy for me. I leave tomorrow for a work trip, and when I get back I have 3 days before I leave for my next work trip. Then we have a vacation so I won't have a chance to sit down and scrap again until mid May lol

April is busy for me because I work for a financial advisor. People trying to get those IRAs funded before the deadline. I also took on a new volunteer role with my firm and it is really keeping me busy!

April isn't typically any busier than normal but this year there's a bit of added family stuff going on to do with my grandmother while my aunt is recovering from knee surgery. While my grandmother is in full time care my aunt usually takes care of the financial and health decisions for her & visits her regularly as well so my mum and I are taking on a bit more of the visitation responsibility for now when we can.

April is busy around here too. More so this year as my daughter and her family have been visiting here for the past month, so we have been entertaining more and babysitting too. They leave on Monday, then I also have a medical procedure scheduled later this month, then DH and I are going away for a long weekend. Usually, I just have the family taxes to get finished.

I feel for you. I worked for a CPA firm for 6 years and the beginning of April was horrible! 2 years were as the secretary getting all the paperwork put together for the clients and making the calls to tell them they were ready and dealing with them when they did come in. The other 4 years I was on the preparation side of them and yes, we had clients come in on the 10th with their stuff for their taxes. More than likely they would get extended because most of our clients had more complex returns!

The job I had for 16 years before I retired, my busy period was the months of September and October. Fiscal year end was Sept 30. I had to make sure all invoices for inventory purchases were entered before then along with billing out all the inventory taken out of inventory. The 2 departments that had inventory did their physical counts on the 30th and gave me the numbers to make adjustments. Janitorial supplies was the easier one to do. I had to compile the uniform information before I could even begin to make adjustments. I was allowed to bring that work home since it was spreadsheet work and I didn't have time during the day to do it (even working 10 hour days). Along with the inventory adjustments, I have several end of month reports that had to be done no later than the 10th of the month. I never got to enjoy my birthday unless it fell on a weekend those 16 years!

As for me, besides getting ready for company for the eclipse, I had a doctor's appointment the week before it. The dog had a grooming appointment yesterday so I've been busier than usual. I do have 2 more medical appointments this month but other than that, it will be relatively quiet.

Not sure which month I would say is my busiest. It all depends on what is happening.
I just know that the days are going faster now than they used to.

I had three doctor appointments in the last week (plus one for my grandson), my grandson was in a parade, spring break, and spring cleaning have me fairly busy, although it feels like I'm not getting much done. :giggle

We have tickets to see Jim Gaffigan on Saturday and then I have a library board training and a board meeting coming up and then things should slow down. April is not typically busy for us, but this one is kinda crazy.

That’s crazy busy! Good luck with the work trips and enjoy your vacation!

I know nothing about IRAs but I do know April is busy for a lot of people because of taxes. I hope it slows down for you soon!

That’s nice of you to help with the visitation responsibility when you can.

A month is a long family visit! We just visited family for a week and that was long for us.

Those two busy months of work sound crazy! I’m sorry you didn’t get to enjoy your birthday back then; hopefully you celebrate extra now to make up for it. ;)

I definitely have days and weeks and months that seem to fly by!

Doctor appointments take so much time! I have to schedule some well checks for my kids and keep putting it off. Good job doing your spring cleaning! I’m not quite there…

It is going to get busier from tonight.
I have our daughter coming home for a week and then our son and daughter in law flying in from the UK.
It will be the first time I have all my kids under our roof since the oldest left in 2019.
I am looking forward to it, all the laughs, all the noise, mess and meals.

I don't think April is normally extra busy for me other than my oldest son's birthday is at the end of the month, but now that he's in college it's not like I have to plan a party or anything. Lol. The last few weeks have been insanely busy for me at work though. It's just because we are finishing up a big project and all the last minute stuff is happening.

Couldn't agree more with that....some days/weeks/months just disappear before my very eyes it seems

I’m so happy for you to have all your kids under your roof! Enjoy.

Good luck with finishing the work project! You can do it!
