So according to my online calendar it's Bubble Bath Day today.
Do you like baths or prefer showers?
Are you a bubble bath person?
It's not a thing here, but I've heard about hot tubs - do you have one?

I'm a showers person.

I've never actually understood how sitting in a bath full of bubbles and doing nothing but sit or lie there can be relaxing. It drives me mad after about 30 seconds.

Shower, bath is too hard for me to get in and out of....well I could probably get in but get out absolutely not!

Are you a bubble bath person?
Not since I was a very young child

It's not a thing here, but I've heard about hot tubs - do you have one?
Nope

Do you like baths or prefer showers? Showers, on the rare occasion I take a bath, I have to shower afterwards to get the soap off due to my overly sensitive skin.
Are you a bubble bath person? Nope, again the sensitive skin ... one too many rashes as a kid due to the bubble soap.
It's not a thing here, but I've heard about hot tubs - do you have one? No, but I've had friends who had them.

I prefer showers.

They always sound nice but not really.

I’ve never owned a hot tub but my husband grew up with one.

Do you like baths or prefer showers? I currently prefer showers.
Are you a bubble bath person? When I was in high school, I went through a stage where I had to have a bath every night- and I would use bath bombs that had lotion/oil in them, but not bubble bath per se. I was always taught that bubble bath formulas caused UTIs, so I avoided them.
It's not a thing here, but I've heard about hot tubs - do you have one? We do not have a hot tub at our house, but there is one at my gym which people use before the sauna. When traveling, we have stayed in mountain cabins with hot tubs on the back porch in the Smoky Mountains of northern Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Do you like baths or prefer showers? Prefer a shower, much easier to wash the hair. When I remodeled the bathroom in 2017, I went to a walk in shower since I always stubbed my toes on the tub when getting in an out after showering.

Are you a bubble bath person? Not these days. But I have done them in the past. That said, there have been maybe 5 times since I got rid of my tub that I wished I had one. A soak in hot water can help those muscles in a way a shower can't.

It's not a thing here, but I've heard about hot tubs - do you have one? Nope and some of the people I know that had them, got rid of them after a few years.

I am just like you Angela, I don't get the idea of a bath. I'd have to scrub the bathtub first before I'd want to lay in it and then just sitting there doing nothing drives me crazy!

I'm definitely a shower person too.

We don't have a hot tub either. I've been in one a couple times, but they kinda gross me out, so that's not my favorite thing either.

To me, they serve different purposes. I use a shower more often, just to routinely get clean. I take baths when I want to soak and relax.

I don't use bubble bath in my bath -- it's too hard (drying) on the skin and can cause UTIs. In the winter, I'll use almond oil in the bath to moisturize but that does require extra cleaning.
It's not a thing here, but I've heard about hot tubs - do you have one? Where I live in the desert southwest of the US, most people have a pool and our pool came with an attached hot tub. So, we do have one but we don't use it all that much. My hubby doesn't like it and it doesn't seem worth heating it up just for me so we mainly use it when our kids are home.

Currently, I do not have a bathtub so I must say a shower, but I do love a nice HOT steamy bath! Eventually when the bathroom gets redone, I will have another bathtub!

Are you a bubble bath person?
I used to use bubble bath, but the UTI thing and dry skin made me switch to essential oils.

I wish I had a hot tub. I live with chronic pain daily and a bath or hot tub or heated pool do wonders for my pain.

Are you a bubble bath person? Not anymore. I can't get in and out of a tub with my back issues.
It's not a thing here, but I've heard about hot tubs - do you have one? No hot tub, but I have enjoyed one from time to time. Now I just sit on my shower chair with my shower wand and the water as hot as I can make it and steam up the bathroom. I like to take my pain meds before my shower and then about 10 minutes into the shower, I can feel myself really starting to relax.

I have a hot tub in my back yard - need to use it more :) I often don't use it because I choose to take a soak in my master bath were I have a big soaking tub and don't have to walk through snow to get to it :P I take a bath nearly every night as part of my winding down routine. Yes... I am a bit spoiled.

:lol2 I didn't even bothering opening this thread yesterday when I first saw it because I'm so disinterested in baths. Funny I assumed the thread was going to be all about the wonders of baths and then most people are saying showers are better. I too am a shower person. I haven't enjoyed bubble baths since I was a kid, and I can't even remember the last time I took a bath. I used to use our bath tub occasionally just to shave my legs, but our walk in shower has seat-like things in the corners on which I can put my foot, so I can shave even more easily in the shower actually.

I have enjoyed some hot tub/jacuzzi times (are they the same thing?). One memorable time was circa 1992 when my boyfriend and I walked through the snow from our cabin to an outdoor jacuzzi. It has been a long time since the last time, and not very memorable. I think I used a hot tub briefly at a hotel or two on my cross country road trip in 2021, but can't remember where or picture it.

Showers

Are you a bubble bath person?
I used to take them to relax but I guess I just don't find them relaxing anymore.

I don't have one but have been in them. I do like them and will enjoy them on vacation.
