We just went school shopping yesterday and seeing the calendar, I know the kids go back to school here on Sept. 7th. Wow that seems late.

Mind you I'm not complaining. Cause it is going to be down right the worst day in Rosie (my 2 year olds) life. She is going to miss all her siblings soo much!

So when do your kids go back to school? Are you looking forward to it? Did you do the shopping yet? Are you ready...cause it's coming.
 
august 18th.
but we have a busy week next week with.
volleyball tryouts.
registrations
and jump starts.
kinder starts on the 20th.
all of my kids will be in school (all day) this year.
i'd be lying if i said i WASN'T excited.
11 more days!

this weekend is a tax free holiday.
i'm totally tempted to brave the
crowds and pick up some
much needed items....
 
My older daughter goes back on August 18th and my little one starts back to Tues/Thurs preschool on Sept 7. I think we're all excited. We've had a good summer, but it will be nice to get back into our usual routine. Personally, I am definitely looking forward to my 2 days "off" starting in September.

All of our school shopping is done, both clothing and supplies. Now I am just toying with some Bento supplies for lunches this year.
 
TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, 1 day, 21 hours exactly. And no, I'm not excited. Not one bit.
 
Ours go back to school around here on Sept. 7 as well - it does seem early, but seeing that we have such a short window of summer here in Michigan - it's good for me!
 
I'm not sure for us yet. Either the 23rd or the 25th. We are moving from TX to Ohio sometime soon just no exact date as of friday do depemding on waht state we are in at the time will determine our start date.
I am soooo ready too. I miss my quiet time. I only have my 13 yo old so I have been loving days alone for 8 years! Its amazing!
 
My oldest goes back on the 25th and my youngest starts preschool after labor day - not sure which day exactly.

I am ready, too! I've had so much fun with them but I want my scrapping time back!
 
my son will start kindergarten on august 18th and i think we are both so excited LooL
me cause I hope I`ll be able to go to work again and DS because he`ll have a big garden to play every day... hope he`ll stay as excited as he is now :dreamy
 
the boys start back on august 25th. meg starts kindergarten this year, but won't start until the following monday. *sigh* all 3 in school. where has time gone?!
 
Mine go back on Aug 23, 1st and 3rd (times 2) I work full time, so there's nothing lost here. Summer has been kicking my butt since they've been here, there and everywhere, I've no idea what's going on :dizzy One of my oldest has been in reading tutoring non stop since Feb, so I'm hoping that it's been enough and he's ready for 3rd grade :heythere I'm dying for a regular schedule, so as hard as the school year may be, I'm welcoming it this year more then ever :)
 
my son goes to Kindergarden on Sept 1st
same as my other kiddies
we start school later than everyone else LOL but in my town school didnt end till June 18th ( i think lol) it was like the 3rd week in June school ended
i havent even started school shopping for the kids LOL with 4 to buy for and one who is 16 yikes, im broke thinking about it LOL
 
Best of luck to all those kindergartners. It's a big big day in a kids/mommy's life.

Actually we are later than you Carly. And I so know what you mean about being broke with school supplies. But I did good this year. Only $75 (of course that is for two of them. 1 I already got the Target Box for and the 16 year old figures it out as she goes along, lol.)
 
Moo starts this Thursday... first grade! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! should be a fun ride this year!

she's not as excited as me though... she wishes she was still in kindergarden!

We're the 18th for my 2nd grader. I'm keeping Lulu in her playschool for another year before she officially starts preschool. She just loves it there and gets so much love too.

We braved the $10 jeans sale at Old Navy today and went school supply shopping. I have a huge HEADACHE now!
 
we bought 20 pair of oldnavy jeans yesterday.
that was a SWEET deal!

we braved the crowds....and it took 45 minutes
to find what we needed.
but i feel like we scored big time!

I have a question!! It's something I wondered about often when I see back to school layouts appearing in the galleries and Jacque talking about jeans made me curious! Do your children wear school uniforms?

They do over here (UK) - my son will be starting Reception (first year of full time school, he's 4) and will be in proper big boys' school uniform for the first time!
